The WearOS smartwatch Fossil Gen 6 could convince in our test in October 2021 in many respects. At the tech trade show CES 2022, which is currently taking place in Las Vegas, peripheral manufacturer Razer announced a cooperation with the watch manufacturer. The result goes by the name Razer x Fossil Gen 6 – a smartwatch specifically for gamers.
The special features of the Razer x Fossil Gen 6
The Razer x Fossil Gen 6 wearable is a special limited edition WearOS smartwatch that comes with unique features and an exclusive design. Among other things, three Razer-exclusive watchfaces (analog, text, and Razer Chroma) are offered. Two stylish, interchangeable wristbands are also included. Interested buyers should hurry, though, because the Razer x Fossil Gen 6 is strictly limited. Only 1,337 units of the smartwatch will be produced.
The Gen 6 is the first smartwatch that relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear4100+ platform. It scores with a particularly high operating speed and performance, which results in significantly shorter charging times.
The smartwatch also offers extensive wellness and health features, which are the focus for both manufacturers. Just recently, Razer had launched the wellness campaign for gamers “Champions Start From Within“.
The smartwatch comes with a 44mm case in black color and is equipped with two interchangeable 22mm wristbands. Three exclusive watchfaces and a special Razer-look user interface set the Gen 6 apart from the standard model.
Otherwise, the Razer x Fossil Gen 6 relies on the same features and specifications offered by the Gen 6 released in 2021. An update to the new WearOS 3.0 operating system is also expected to follow in 2022.
Price and Availability
The Razer x Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch will still be available in January 2022 in highly limited quantities of 1,337 smartwatches from both Fossil‘s website and Razer. The price for the wearable is $329.00.
