According to an extensive leak, the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro is supposed to be the first smartphone that uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC that was only unveiled yesterday. In terms of features, the upcoming flagship has a lot going for it.
Realme GT 2 Pro leak reveals specs and design
Visually, the Realme GT 2 Pro leaked in renders is reminiscent of a mixture of iPhones thanks to angular edges and a modern version of the Google Nexus 6P thanks to the camera hump. The camera strip extends across the entire width of the smartphone’s upper edge. It offers three lenses and a dual flash.
At the same time, it is one of the first smartphones that will rely on the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This is already evident from a review of the smartphone benchmark Geekbench. Thus, the 2 Pro should be right up there in terms of performance.
Design and specifications of the top model have now been leaked on 91mobiles, but official details are still pending. According to that, the 2 Pro is supposed to rely on a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display with OLED technology and a frame rate of 120 Hz.
125 Watt charging
Up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage will be on offer. While nothing is known about the battery capacity yet, we’ve known for a while that the Realme GT 2 Pro can be fast charged at a whopping 125 watts.
As for the cameras, the device is said to rely on a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and an 8 MP telephoto camera. The front camera sits in a punch hole and offers a resolution of 32 megapixels.
Pricing and Availability
The official announcement of the Realme GT 2 Pro is still pending at the moment. Accordingly, it is not yet known when the smartphone will be released. The official unveiling is supposed to take place in the first quarter of 2022, and the price is supposed to be the equivalent of 710 euros (or 799 US dollars), according to the leaker. Realme only released the GT Neo 2 in Germany in November 2021.
