RedMagic 11 Air: Gaming flagship with Dimensity 9500 and 7,000 mAh battery ahead of launch

With the RedMagic 11 Air, Nubia will soon be launching a more affordable gaming flagship on the market that relies on modern technology and a large battery capacity. At least if you believe a TENAA registration. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor ensures powerful performance, while a 7,000 mAh battery is equipped for long gaming sessions. The smartphone impresses with a 6.85-inch OLED display without a notch thanks to the invisible selfie camera under the panel.

  • MediaTek Dimensity 9500 as a powerful gaming processor
  • Generous 7,000 mAh battery for extended usage time
  • 6.85-inch OLED display with 2,688 x 1,216 pixels without visible front camera
  • Main camera with 50 MP and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera

Slim, lightweight design with strong performance

At 7.85 millimetres, the RedMagic 11 Air is very thin and weighs 207 grams, making it slightly slimmer and lighter than the Pro model. In contrast to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Nubia relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a state-of-the-art processor that, according to benchmarks, should deliver almost equivalent gaming performance. This makes the price more attractive without sacrificing performance.

The 6.85-inch OLED display with a sharp resolution of 2,688 x 1,216 pixels ensures excellent image quality, while the selfie camera is discreetly concealed under the screen. This means that the device does not have the usual annoying cut-outs such as a notch or punch-hole. Details on the refresh rate and maximum brightness are still pending, but are likely to be optimized for demanding gaming.

Improved battery and adapted camera equipment

At 7,000 mAh, the battery of the RedMagic 11 Air is significantly larger than its predecessor with 6,000 mAh, which promises longer gaming sessions and better endurance. Compared to the 11 Pro with a 7,500 mAh battery, the focus here is more on balanced energy consumption and mobility.

The main camera offers 50 MP, flanked by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, which means a reduction in wide-angle resolution compared to the predecessor model. The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP and is hidden under the display, allowing for a clean display design without a notch.

Expected availability and pricing

So far, there is no official information on the exact sales launch or prices of the RedMagic 11 Air. Rumors and certifications point to an imminent market launch, possibly as early as the beginning of 2026. Nubia is positioning the RedMagic 11 Air as an affordable gaming flagship that impresses with its slim design, good hardware and high battery capacity.

The device is intended to be an affordable alternative to the RedMagic 11 Pro, which is available with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 7,500 mAh battery from around 699 euros. The Air model is likely to be priced lower to appeal to gamers who want to remain flexible with their budget.

RedMagic 11 Air thus combines strong gaming performance with long endurance and a great screen design, making it an attractive candidate for price-conscious gamers.
