The Redroad G10 is a promising vacuum cleaning robot that comes up with exciting features. Besides a powerful suction function, it promises wet cleaning on top thanks to its practical mop unit. In combination with its base, which fulfills three different functions, this could be a real price-performance hit. Let’s take a look at the specs.
An intelligent suction wiper
According to the manufacturer, the Redroad G10 should not only deliver great cleaning results. On top of that, it’s supposed to be extremely smart. For one thing, there’s the ability to automatically raise the mop unit at the bottom. Thanks to the attached ultrasonic sensors, the G10 is supposed to automatically detect carpets and then lift the damp mop unit to avoid unintentional wetting.
This saves having to remove the wiper unit by hand. On top of that, the Redroad G10 ensures that the mop always remains as clean as possible and thus performs an optimal wiping performance. For example, according to the manufacturer, the smart household helper automatically returns to the base station after ten square meters of cleaned floor and has the mop cleaned with fresh water.
The other sensor technology also seems to offer the latest technology. For example, the vacuum cleaner should be able to reliably detect obstacles. The app connection also promises a lot of smart home. Not only can you create cleaning schedules and switch back and forth between the different wiping and suction modes.
On top of that, the vacuum is supposed to map your home accurately and reliably. Behind this is the LiDAR sensor, which uses the latest laser technology to detect every corner of the apartment. And it does so even in the dark. The SLAM algorithm sounds cool. This is supposed to ensure that you can save up to five floors and the Redroad G10 automatically recognizes them.
Strong suction and wiping performance
A mopping function is now part of almost every robot vacuum. However, these differ in part considerably from each other. In particular, the wiping power varies from device to device. The smart household helper relies on a vibrating mop, which comes extremely close to a thorough manual cleaning with a wiper.
Since the suction wiper cleans its wiping unit every ten square meters, the results should be correspondingly good. For this, the robot simply drives into its base station, which not only cleans the mop. It also supplies the mop with fresh water and even dries it afterwards. However, Redroad doesn’t seem to let itself down in terms of classic suction power either. The motor has a power of 2800 Pascal, which should be sufficient for most people.
And this is where the base station comes into play again. On top of that, it vacuums the collected dirt from the robot vacuum’s dust container. It could hardly be more convenient. Thanks to its 5200 mAh battery, the Redroad G10 is also said to be pleasantly enduring. Up to 550 minutes of pure wiping performance should be possible with it without any problems.
Redroad G10 now on sale at Amazon
Sounds all pretty promising what Redroad brings up here. This applies not only to the features, but also the price. The manufacturer charges an MSRP of 699.00 euros for the Redroad G10. But if you are quick, you can save a lot here. At Amazon, there is the vacuum mop robot with base station thanks to matching code for only 660.00 euros. If you are looking for alternatives from better-known manufacturers, the Roborock Q7 Max+ (test) or the Dreame W10 Pro (test) might be the right choice for you.
