The sporting goods manufacturer Reebok is actually known for its shoes, tracksuits and other clothing. However, the company now also has a technical gadget on offer. With the new smart ring, Reebok is launching a wearable on the market for the first time that is intended to be used specifically for training, but also for sleep analysis.
Highlights
- Reebok Smart Ring measures heart rate, sleep, stress, temperature and activity – and provides a central “One Score”.
- Cooperation with F45 Training: The ring is part of a new global partnership program.
- Price: 249 US dollars (approx. 230 euros) in the USA; size kit for the right ring size incl. credit.
- Key technical data: Titanium housing, 5 ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.1, rechargeable battery for 5-7 days.
Design & technology
The ring is aimed at anyone who prefers a compact wearable – as opposed to a classic smartwatch. It is made from high-quality materials (titanium mentioned above) and is designed to be worn both during training and in everyday life.
- Sensors: Heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV), sleep phases, skin temperature, stress measurement.
- Connectivity & features: Bluetooth 5.1, battery life of up to 7 days, charges in less than 2 hours. Data storage up to 7 days locally in the ring.
- Robustness: Water resistance up to 5 ATM ( ≈ 50 meters), temperature range from -10 °C to +52 °C.
- Size selection: A size kit is available before purchase (for approximately 10 US dollars), the amount will be credited at the time of purchase.
App & data integration
The collected data is evaluated via the “Reebok Fitness App” and summarized with a so-called “One Score” – a single key figure that provides information on how “ready” the body is for training or exercise.
There are also integrated functions for recovery and lifestyle tracking – such as sleep analysis and stress management, which is particularly interesting for tech-savvy users who prefer “always-on” tracking.
Positioning & market environment
With the Ring, Reebok not only wants to serve the classic sports segment, but also establish itself as a brand for performance-oriented technology users in the wearables sector. The partnership with F45 Training illustrates this approach: Reebok becomes the official partner for performance footwear, wearables and equipment at F45.
Reebok is entering a competitive market. After all, the manufacturer has to assert itself against top dogs such as the Oura Ring 4 (€ 399.00 *) or the Samsung Galaxy Ring (€ 439.99 *).
Target group & application scenarios
- Technology enthusiasts & IT professionals: value smart data, integration into everyday life (not just workouts).
- Gamers and busy people: monitoring of sleep & stress, passive stress monitoring.
- Fitness enthusiasts: training readiness, recovery, performance tracking.
Price & availability
The Reebok Smart Ring starts at a price of 249 US dollars in the USA. In Germany and Europe, the exact price has not yet been officially communicated – around 230-300 euros would be conceivable.
