The Roborock F25 Steam is now available in Germany. The manufacturer’s new model combines a wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner with built-in steam cleaning—and promises to remove even dried-on stains and grease marks without the need for cleaning agents. Through August 9, 2026, the vacuum-mop is available at an introductory price of 459 euros; after that, the MSRP will be 589 euros.
Steam cleaning at up to 180 °C—without any chemicals
The key feature of the F25 Steam is its VaporFlow technology. The device heats water internally to up to 180 °C and releases the resulting steam through the cleaning roller. According to Roborock, this temperature is sufficient to remove stubborn dirt such as dried-on coffee, grease, or everyday stains without the use of chemical additives—a feature that’s particularly relevant for households with children or pets.
To put this in context: The 180 °C is measured at the outlet of the internal boiler. At the actual steam outlet, the temperature is around 99 °C; upon contact with the floor, it drops to below 70 °C. TÜV SÜD tested the F25 Steam in steam mode for bacterial elimination—using Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli—and, according to the manufacturer, over 99.9999% of the bacteria on the floor were eliminated. Whether the steam actually delivers significantly better results than a conventional hot-water wet vacuum cleaner when dealing with stubborn everyday stains cannot be conclusively assessed without conducting our own test.
In addition to steam mode, there are three other operating modes to choose from: Auto (suction power is automatically adjusted), Eco (maximum runtime), and Sponge (water supply stopped, ideal for larger amounts of liquid). The F25 Steam is operated directly on the device via three buttons and a color display—there is no app connection.

Slim design and bidirectional drive
Visually and mechanically, the F25 Steam builds on the proven foundation of the Roborock F25 series. The FlatReach design allows the device to be laid completely flat—that is, at a 180-degree angle. In this position, the height is 12.5 cm, allowing the vacuum to be used even under many sofas, beds, and low cabinets.
In addition, a bidirectional drive actively assists the vacuum—which weighs just under 5.2 kilograms—when pushing it both forward and backward. The higher weight of the device—due to the integrated boiler—is likely to be a key selling point here, as pushing it without drive assistance would become tiring over time.
Self-cleaning, anti-tangle, and smart sensor
After mopping, the F25 Steam automatically cleans its roller in both directions. An integrated quick-dry function is designed to dry the roller in about five minutes to prevent odors and bacterial growth. The self-cleaning process takes place at temperatures up to 95 °C.
Additional features: A DirTect sensor continuously measures the level of water contamination and automatically adjusts the cleaning intensity. The anti-tangle system (JawScraper design) is designed to prevent hair from wrapping around the roller. It also features an automatic cleaning solution dispenser with a built-in 100-ml tank.
According to Roborock, the package includes a replacement roller, a replacement filter, a cleaning brush, and cleaning solution.
Target Audience: Who is the F25 Steam designed for?
The Roborock F25 Steam is designed for users who want to clean hard floors particularly thoroughly while avoiding the use of cleaning agents. Anyone with tile in the kitchen or hardwood floors in the living area who regularly has to deal with grease splatters or dried-on residue is likely to benefit from the steam mode.
In our mop-vacuum comparison, the F25 Steam, with a MSRP of 589 euros, falls in the upper mid-range—but at the introductory price of 459 euros, the steam function makes it a much more attractive option. The older Roborock F25 Ultra, which features comparable steam technology but also includes app connectivity and 22,000 Pa of suction power, cost more at launch.
