Hot water and steam modes
The Roborock F25 Ultra offers two special cleaning modes: The so-called “WaveFlow” mode cleans with hot water at around 86 °C, while the “VaporFlow” mode uses steam at up to around 180 °C. Strictly speaking, this is a combination of the competitors Dreame H15 Pro Heat (Review | € 499.00 *) and Tineco Floor One S7 Stretch Steam (Review | € 699.00 *).
According to Roborock, hot water and steam cleaning should ensure effective removal of stubborn dirt such as grease or dried-on stains. It also claims a bacteria removal rate of over 99.99% under certain conditions. In addition to liquid cleaning, the appliance delivers 22,000 Pa of suction power – allowing dirt and dust as well as damp residue to be removed efficiently.
The “SlideTech 2.0” technology with AI-supported wheels is intended to ensure better maneuverability, for example on furniture or under sofas. A flat design is also specified – this should make it easier to clean hard-to-reach areas under furniture. After use, the appliance is said to clean itself: both the roller and cleaning station come with hot water, steam and hot air drying. According to the manufacturer, this means that no residue is left behind – a plus point for wet cleaners.
