With the new Roborock Qrevo Edge 2, Roborock is expanding its portfolio with a powerful vacuum and mopping robot that is primarily designed for convenience and minimum maintenance. The successor to the Qrevo Curv combines high suction power with intelligent obstacle detection, automatic self-cleaning and a particularly flat housing. Thanks to the extendable side brush, AI-supported navigation and improved mopping technology, the household helper is designed to reliably clean even hard-to-reach areas.

  • 25,000 Pa suction power for dust, pet hair and coarse dirt
  • Ultra-compact design with a height of just 7.98 cm and retractable LiDAR sensor
  • Automatic mop cleaning with hot water up to 80 °C
  • AI obstacle detection recognizes over 280 different objects

Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 combines powerful cleaning performance with smart technology

The new Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is aimed at users who want the most thorough cleaning possible without constant manual intervention. The focus is particularly on the combination of high suction power and intelligent automation. With a maximum suction power of 25,000 Pa, the model is one of the more powerful appliances in its class and, according to the manufacturer, is designed to reliably remove even stubborn dirt and pet hair.

The so-called Dual Anti-Tangle System should be of particular interest to households with long hair or pets. Roborock combines a DuoDivide main brush with a FlexiArm side brush to significantly reduce hair tangles. This should reduce the amount of maintenance required and keep the cleaning performance stable in the long term.

The mopping function has also been further improved compared to its predecessor. The new mop mechanism works with a contact pressure of 8 Newtons and should therefore efficiently remove even dried stains. Another practical feature is the automatic carpet detection: if the robot detects carpeted areas, it automatically lifts the mops or, if necessary, leaves them directly in the station. This is designed to protect carpets from moisture.

For hard-to-reach areas, Roborock relies on a particularly flat housing with a height of just 7.98 centimetres. In conjunction with the retractable LiDAR sensor, the Qrevo Edge 2 can also clean under low pieces of furniture such as sofas or lowboards – an area that many robot hoovers can only reach to a limited extent.

Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 relies on AI navigation and automatic maintenance

In addition to the actual cleaning, Roborock attaches great importance to navigation and ease of use. According to the manufacturer, the Qrevo Edge 2 recognizes more than 280 different objects, including cables, shoes and toys lying around. This is made possible by the combination of structured light, RGB camera and AI-based obstacle detection. Even in poor lighting conditions, the robot is said to navigate safely and reliably avoid obstacles.

The multifunctional station also takes care of a large part of the maintenance automatically. After cleaning, the mops are cleaned with water heated up to 80 degrees and then dried with warm air. The station also empties the integrated dust container automatically. This significantly reduces the amount of manual maintenance required, which provides additional convenience, especially in everyday life.

The Roborock app can be used to configure individual cleaning schedules, exclusion zones and routines. Alexa, Google Home, Siri and the Matter smart home standard are also supported. This allows the robot hoover to be flexibly integrated into existing smart home environments.

Overall, the technical specifications seem plausible and clearly place the Qrevo Edge 2 in the premium segment of modern robot vacuums. In particular, the combination of high suction power, compact design and automated maintenance sets the model apart from many competing devices.

Conclusion

The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 presents itself as a versatile premium robot hoover with a focus on high cleaning performance and maximum convenience. Thanks to its 25,000 Pa suction power, intelligent AI navigation and automatic self-cleaning, the model should be of particular interest to larger households and pet owners. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is now available in black and white at a recommended retail price of 899.99 euros.
