Roborock S8 Pro Ultra & S8+: High-end vacuum robots go on sale

After the S8 is already available in stores since mid-March 2023, the manufacturer Roborock will soon release the two top models of the series, which were officially presented at CES 2023 in early January. The two Roborock S8 Pro Ultra & S8+ vacuum robots will be available in stores from the end of April.

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra & S8+ in detail

An excellent suction performance with practical and helpful functions want to realize the two suction robots Roborock S8 Pro Ultra & S8+. The S8+ relies on a suction station that picks up dust and dirt and at the same time supplies the battery of the small everyday helper with new energy again.

New to both models is the redesigned double rubber roller brush, which, combined with a suction power of 6,000 pascals, picks up dust and dirt even more effectively and is supposed to prevent hair from getting tangled.

On the S8 Pro Ultra, the brush is also automatically raised by up to 6 mm in wipe-only mode and when the robot vacuum returns to the docking station to prevent dirt transfer in both cases.

Both models can also wipe. Here, thanks to VibraRise, the S8+ and S8 Pro Ultra automatically raise the mop when cleaning carpets and scrub floors at a frequency of 3,000 movements per minute. The S8 Pro Ultra now features two vibration modules that further improve mopping efficiency.

Also on board is reactive 3D obstacle avoidance, thanks to which both Roborock models can detect and avoid obstacles early.

The top model in the range, the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, also comes with a particularly exciting docking station. This relies on the new RockDock Ultra system and handles the full wellness program for the little robot.

Mops are washed in the station, the dust bin is emptied and the water tank is refilled. Afterwards, even an automatic self-cleaning is performed. The new integrated drying function with warm air prevents the formation of mold and odors on the mop pad and dock. So you shouldn’t have to worry about anything for up to 7 weeks – at least as far as the robot vacuum is concerned.

Prices and availability

The two Roborock S8 Pro Ultra & S8+ vacuuming and mopping robots will go on sale April 27, 2023. The Roborock S8+ starts u a price of 899.99 euros and is available for example at Saturn and MediaMarkt.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, on the other hand, will be available at an introductory price of 1,399 euros, while the manufacturer’s suggested retail price is actually 1,499 euros. It is not clear how long the discount will be valid, so it is worth being quick.
