Roborock Saros Z70: Vacuum robot now available

With the new Saros Z70, Roborock is raising the bar for smart cleaning assistants to a new level. The world’s leading supplier of robotic vacuum cleaners is launching a production-ready model with an integrated robotic arm for the first time – an innovation that sets new standards in terms of both functionality and technology. The Saros Z70 is not only a powerful cleaner, but also an intelligent household assistant that recognizes obstacles, tidies up and vacuums and mops more thoroughly than ever before.

Short summary:

  • Integrated five-axis robotic arm lifts objects weighing up to 300 g
  • 22,000 Pa suction power, automatic mop lift, flat design (7.98 cm)
  • StarSight™ Autonomous System 2.0 for precise obstacle detection
  • Multifunctional Dock 4.0 with hot water cleaning, fast charging and mop management

Robotic arm for more order and autonomy

The central highlight of the Saros Z70 is the new OmniGrip robotic arm. With its five axes and precise gripping mechanism, it lifts objects such as socks, toys or cables weighing up to 300 grams and moves them out of the way. This makes tedious preparation of the floor before cleaning a thing of the past – a real relief in everyday life. The robotic arm is equipped with a camera, LED light, sensors and safety functions such as a child safety lock and emergency stop, ensuring a high level of safety and precision.

This capability clearly sets the Saros Z70 apart from other premium models. The detection of up to 108 obstacle types – extended by user-definable objects via OTA update – makes it the ideal helper in complex household environments. The combination of StarSight™ Autonomous System 2.0, dual-light 3D ToF sensors, RGB cameras and VertiBeam™ ensures precise navigation – even with difficult furniture arrangements or narrow passages.

Maximum cleaning performance and smart mop handling

With an impressive suction power of 22,000 Pa, the Saros Z70 is one of the most powerful appliances in its class. The combination of Dual Anti-Tangle System and FreeFlow™ main brush reliably removes even deep-seated dirt and pet hair – even on carpets. The two rotating mops automatically lift up to 2.2 cm as soon as a carpet is detected, ensuring dry and clean transitions.

Even cleverer: if the appliance is only to vacuum, it automatically parks the mops in the dock. This multifunctional dock 4.0 cleans the mops with 80 °C hot water, refills the water tank and fully charges the appliance within 2.5 hours. The automatic mop coupling rounds off the sophisticated system.

Smart home integration and pet-friendliness

Tech-savvy users with pets will also get their money’s worth. The “Pet Snaps” function automatically photographs pets during cleaning and saves the images in the Roborock app. Thanks to Pet Area Recognition, the robot pauses vacuuming as soon as animals are in the vicinity – ideal for sensitive four-legged friends.

Users can also use the app to start video calls or use the robot to track pets. Smart control via Siri, Alexa, Google Home or the new Matter 1.4 protocol as well as offline voice control make operation particularly flexible and future-proof.
