Chinese manufacturer Rogbid has unveiled the VisionW, a new pair of smart glasses designed to stand out from the competition primarily through interchangeable frames and an AI voice assistant. Unlike the Meta Glasses or the Rokid Glasses, for example, the VisionW does away with a camera entirely and instead focuses entirely on audio and AI features.
Three Frames, One Concept
The VisionW’s main selling point is its three different frame designs. The first, Wayfarer-style frame combines a wide black frame with dark-tinted lenses; the second variant is slightly larger and features a double bridge.
The third model is a browline-style half-rim frame with clear lenses. However, Rogbid does not explicitly state in the product information whether all three frames are actually included in the package—while the name “3-in-1” suggests this, there is no explicit confirmation.
ChatGPT and Grok as Voice Assistants
The VisionW connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, enabling calls and 3D surround sound. For its AI features, the glasses rely on ChatGPT, Grok, and other major language models. The 200-mAh battery is charged magnetically.
Rogbid also advertises the glasses as having a battery life of up to 39 days, but does not specify whether this figure refers to standby mode or active use. Therefore, this number cannot be considered an indication of actual usage time.
UV Protection Instead of a Camera
The VisionW lenses are designed to filter both blue light and UV radiation. According to Rogbid, the frame is made of TR90, a skin-friendly plastic; however, the published images show a metal front on two of the three models. The glasses lack a camera entirely, which clearly sets the VisionW apart from camera-equipped models like the Ray-Ban Meta glasses and instead focuses on audio feedback and AI interaction.
