
Samsung has announced that the latest user interface update, One UI 7, will be gradually available for older Galaxy devices from April 7, 2025. This update, based on Android 15, promises numerous improvements and new features for a wide range of smartphones and tablets.

What is One UI 7?
One UI 7 is Samsung’s latest user interface based on Android 15. It has been developed to improve the user experience and offers a range of new features and optimizations. A particular focus is on the integration of artificial intelligence, which personalizes the user experience and makes it more efficient.
Important innovations in One UI 7
- Deeper integration of Google Gemini: Google Gemini becomes the default assistant and enables complex multi-app actions.
- Natural language search: The Settings app now supports search queries in natural language, making navigation easier.
- Now Bar: Dynamic widgets on the lock screen provide quick access to relevant information.
- Improved AI tools: A new Audio Eraser removes unwanted noise from videos, and other AI-powered features optimize the user experience.
Availability and supported devices
The rollout of One UI 7 will begin on April 7, 2025 and will take place in phases. The Galaxy S24 (€ 690.19 *), Fold 6 (€ 1,352.37 *) and Flip 6 (€ 319.99 *) models will receive the update first.
In the following weeks, it will be rolled out to other devices such as the Galaxy S23 (€ 579.81 *), Fold 5 (€ 1,269.99 *), Flip 5 (€ 731.19 *) and various tablets. Samsung plans to make the update available for all compatible devices by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

How to get the update
Users can check in the settings of their device under “Software update” whether the update is already available. It is recommended to back up personal data before installing the update and to ensure that the device is sufficiently charged or connected to a power source. With One UI 7, Samsung continues its focus on an improved, AI-supported user experience and brings numerous innovations to older Galaxy devices to make everyday life easier and more enjoyable for users.
