Samsung is expanding its browser beyond mobile devices and bringing a new, AI-supported platform to the PC with the Samsung Browser for Windows. The focus here is on the integration of so-called “Agentic AI”, which should not only make browsing faster, but also significantly more intuitive. Seamless synchronization between smartphone and desktop also creates a consistent user experience across multiple devices.

  • Samsung Browser now also available for Windows 10 and 11
  • Seamless synchronization of tabs, history and logins
  • Agentic AI for intelligent web search and automation
  • Integration of Samsung Pass for secure autofill

Samsung Browser for Windows connects devices and enhances the user experience

With the launch of the Samsung Browser for Windows, Samsung is pursuing a clear approach: merging mobile and stationary surfing. Users can continue browsing websites exactly where they left off on their smartphone. This continuity goes beyond classic synchronization, as not only bookmarks or history are transferred, but active sessions are also retained.

A key component is the integration of Samsung Pass. This allows login data and personal information to be stored securely and used across devices. This is a particular advantage in everyday life: website logins or form entries are made automatically and without manual intervention.

Samsung also relies more heavily on a closed ecosystem compared to established browsers. The connection to the Samsung account ensures that all data can be managed centrally. This creates a consistent user experience, which is particularly relevant for users of multiple Samsung devices.

Technically, the browser remains compatible with Windows 10 (from version 1809) and Windows 11, allowing Samsung to cover a broad user base and position itself as an alternative to well-known desktop browsers.

Agentic AI in the Samsung browser: Smarter, faster and context-aware

A key highlight is the integration of Agentic AI, which was developed in collaboration with Perplexity. This AI goes beyond traditional search functions as it understands the context of websites, tabs and user behavior. This allows tasks to be completed directly in the browser without having to switch between different tools.

One example: While researching a trip, the browser can automatically create a structured itinerary based on the content currently open. This ability to analyze context enables significantly more efficient information processing.

The search itself is also more intelligent. Instead of clicking through numerous pages of results, the AI provides relevant answers directly. Even video content can be analyzed – for example, to jump directly to a specific scene without having to fast-forward manually.

Another advantage can be seen when managing multiple open tabs. The browser can summarize or compare content from several tabs and thus display the most important information clearly. The browser history is also enhanced by natural language search: instead of filtering by date or keywords, a simple description is enough to find the content you are looking for.

These functions clearly show where modern browsers are heading: away from a pure display tool towards an intelligent assistant that actively supports information processing.

Conclusion

With the Samsung Browser for Windows and the integration of Agentic AI, Samsung is consistently expanding its ecosystem. The combination of cross-device synchronization and intelligent support takes the browsing experience to a new level. The browser is now available for Windows, while the AI functions will initially be launched in selected markets. Wider availability is expected to follow in the coming months.
