Samsung Galaxy F13: With 6,000 mAh battery and 50 MP camera

The Samsung Galaxy F13 starts in the smartphone mid-range. It has a 6,000 mAh battery, a main camera with 50 megapixels and 8 GB of working memory and is offered for less than 200 Euros (~$200). Most recently, they also launched a mid-range device with the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy F13 in detail

The Samsung Galaxy F13 has been officially unveiled. Visually, the smartphone is reminiscent of the Galaxy M23 and relies on a waterdrop notch in the center of the upper edge at the front. The manufacturer installs a 6.6-inch IPS panel with a Full HD+ resolution that is supposed to be particularly robust thanks to Gorilla Glass 5. The selfie camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels.

The roughly three-year-old Exynos 850 is used as the processor, which is equipped with eight ARM Cortex-A55 cores. They offer a clock rate of 2.0 GHz. Despite 8 GB of working memory, the performance should not keep up with the Galaxy M33 5G (our review). Whereas the working memory seems to borrow a few GB from the system memory thanks to RAM Plus. The system memory is 64 GB or 128 GB, depending on the model.

The F13 also does not offer 5G. Samsung has not yet revealed how big the refresh rate will be, but it does provide a few more exciting details. For example, the system storage is supposed to be expandable by up to 1 TB via microSD card.

6,000 mAh battery and 50 MP camera

One of the highlights of the Samsung Galaxy F13 is the 6,000 mAh battery. It can be charged with a maximum of 15 watts and should thus last for an extraordinarily long time. A fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock are offered.

There is also a dual-SIM card slot that is supposed to automatically switch between the cards when one of the SIMs has no reception, for example. Android 12 is used as the operating system. On the back, Samsung installs a triple camera module that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-MP depth sensor.

Price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy F13 willbe offered in Waterfall Blue, Sunrise Copper and Nightsky Green colors, according to the product website. It is scheduled for a global release on June 29, 2022. At the launch in India, Samsung quoted a starting price with 64 GB of storage of INR 11,999, which is the equivalent of around 145 euros. The model with 128 GB ROM, on the other hand, is priced at 12,999 INR, which is just under 158 Euros. The prices for the German market have not been determined yet.
