Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, M23 5G and A13 launched

Samsung has unveiled three new mid-range smartphones at once. The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, M23 5G and A13 5G combine some strong features like refresh rates of up to 120 Hz or a 5,000 mAh battery with an affordable price.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, M23 5G and A13: Strong performance

The two new additions to the Galaxy M series, M33 5G and M23 5G, feature powerful displays with smooth 120 Hz refresh rates to realize smoother scrolling and faster response time. Both smartphones offer an identical display in the form of a 6.6-inch (16.72 cm) Infinity V display including FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. In contrast, the Galaxy A13 5G’s display with the same size and resolution has to make do with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

With a weight of 195 grams, the A13 is the lightest of the three new Samsung smartphones and measures 165.1 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm. The two new representatives of the M-series, on the other hand, weigh 198 grams and measure 165.4 x 76.9 x 8.4 mm (M33 5G), or 165.5 x 77 x 8.4 mm in the case of the M23 5G.

Samsung does not provide concrete details about the chip, but it does about the clock speed of the SoC, which is presumably right from the in-house Exynos series. The M33 5G is the most powerful and offers an Octa Core SoC (2 x 2.4 GHz + 6 x 2 GHz), while the M23 5G has minimally lower clock rates (2 x 2.2 GHz + 6 x 1.8 GHz). The A13 offers an Octa Core chip with eight cores along with a 2.0 GHz clock rate.

5G and large battery

The Galaxy M smartphones ensure that users have fast access to the Internet thanks to 5G connectivity. This opens up possibilities for cloud gaming without installations, delivers low latency and fast 4K video streaming, so gaming is fast and video consumption is enjoyable. The A13, on the other hand, will have to do without 5G.

The RAM is 4 GB (M23 5G and A13), and 6 GB in the case of the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G. Internally, 64 GB (A13) or 128 GB system memory (M23 5G and M33 5G) are available, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The Galaxy M33 5G and Galaxy M23 5G are equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that has a 25 W super fast charging feature. The Galaxy A13 is also equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and supports a 15 W fast charging function. With the help of Adaptive Power Saving, Samsung customers can additionally adjust the overall power of the battery.

The cameras

The new Galaxy A and M series members also feature an improved camera setup. The 50 MP triple main camera of the Galaxy M23 5G can vividly capture precious moments and turn them into beautiful photos. The 50 MP quad main cameras of the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy M33 5G and the 8 MP selfie front cameras are also said to make for appealing photos.

Prices and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G is available in stores now, while the Galaxy A13 will be available in Germany from March 25, 2022. The Galaxy M33 5G, which will find its way into stores from 08.04.2022, will be the final model.

The Galaxy A13 starts in the colors Light Blue, Black and White at an MSRP of 189.00 Euros. The M23 5G is available in Orange Copper, Light Blue and Deep Green at an MSRP of 289.00 Euros. Dark Blue, Khaki Green and Brown are the colors of the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, which has an RRP of 349.00 Euros.
