Samsung Galaxy M51 with mega battery introduced

The new Samsung Galaxy M51 can be pre-ordered now in Germany. Particularly striking among the specifications of this mid-range smartphone is the gigantic 7,000 milliampere-hours (mAH) battery. The other components, on the other hand, are strongly reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy A71, which was launched in January. With dimensions of 163.9 x 76.3 x 9.5 millimeters, the new M51 is only slightly thicker and, due to the battery, also somewhat heavier at 213 instead of 179 grams.

The Galaxy M51, which is sold as an entertainment smartphone, has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (1080 x 2400), which is particularly suitable for media playback. According to Samsung, the battery should still have reserves even after a day of intensive streaming.

The Snapdragon 730 Octacore processor, the 6 GB RAM and the cameras are already known from the much more expensive Galaxy A71. The front camera with display hole offers 32 MP resolution, on the back there is a quad camera consisting of a 64 MP main camera, a 5 MP depth camera, a 12 MP ultra wide angle camera and a 5 MP macro camera.

Photos, videos and movies are stored on the 128 GB internal flash chip, which can be expanded to a maximum of 512 GB via a MicroSD card slot. The Galaxy M51 also offers Dual-SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, ac-WLAN and NFC. The Galaxy M51 also still has the 3.5 jack connector, which has disappeared from most high-end smartphones.

In the official online shop the smartphone can currently be ordered for 360 Euro. It is thus significantly cheaper than the Galaxy A71, but offers almost identical performance. Delivery will begin as early as September 11.
