Samsung Galaxy S22 release: Date for release is fixed

Android fans have been eagerly awaiting the Samsung Galaxy S22 release for a long time. The Korean manufacturer has now announced the launch date of the new flagship smartphone series. You won’t have to wait too much longer.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Release: Still in February

The Samsung Galaxy S22 release will happen in a few weeks. After the company had already pointed to a new Galaxy Unpacked event in February 2022 on its own website, it currently still lacks a concrete date.

However, this can be found in the source code of the website, which contains references to two calendar entries – this is reported by Techinsider. While these are not yet apparent, you can still add an entry to your own calendar bereits vornehmen.

Accordingly, the Galaxy Unpacked event rises on February 09 at 16:00 German time and should last about an hour. Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S22 series with the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. Presumably, Samsung should also unveil the new Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablets at the same time.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series: pre-order and release details

Furthermore, TechInsider’s leak provides details on the start of pre-order for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the specific release. According to the leak, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in the Samung store and other retailers from February 25, 2022.

Pre-orders are to start as early as February 14 with a reservation phase, while orders are then to be possible from February 21.

How expensive will the Samsung Galaxy S22 series be?

Regarding the final prices for Europe, there is also a leak, this time from WinFuture editor Roland Quandt. He assumes that the new smartphones will start at a price of 849 euros in Europe.

According to Quandt, 1,449 euros will be called for the top model Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of system memory. Specifically, he names the following prices:

• Galaxy S22 with 8 GB /128 GB: 849 euros
• Galaxy S22 with 8 GB /256 GB: 899 euros
• Galaxy S22+ with 8 GB /128 GB: 1,049 euros
• Galaxy S22+ with 8 GB /256 GB: 1,099 euros
• Galaxy S22 Ultra with 8 GB /128 GB: 1,249 euros
• Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB /256 GB: 1,349 euros
• Galaxy S22 Ultra with 12 GB /512 GB: 1,449 euros

As we already know, the Galaxy S22 lineup in Europe will come with the Samsung Exynos 2200 SoC after all, which the manufacturer recently officially unveiled. It offers an exciting AMD graphics unit including ray tracing and some other exciting features.
