Samsung Galaxy S25 leak: leaked storage options

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series is causing a stir even before its official announcement. The latest leaks offer insights into the memory options of the flagship models and give a foretaste of Samsung’s strategy for its top-of-the-range series. One thing becomes clear: the South Koreans are apparently much more generous when it comes to RAM.

Important information at a glance:

  • Basic version starts with 256 GB storage space.
  • Top models in the series will offer up to 1 TB of storage.
  • UFS 4.1 storage technology ensures higher speed and efficiency.
  • No option for microSD cards.

Samsung Galaxy S25 storage options in detail

Samsung plans to appeal to both tech-savvy power users and users with moderate storage requirements with the Galaxy S25 series. A lot is set to happen in 2025. At least this is the conclusion drawn from a leak posted on Platform X by user Jukanlosreve. The focus is on the flagship in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The basic configuration of the models starts at 256 GB, which has now become the standard for high-end smartphones. For more demanding users, 512 GB and 1 TB are also available.

The following memory configurations will therefore be available:

  • 12 GB RAM/256 GB flash memory
  • 16 GB RAM/512 GB flash memory
  • 16 GB RAM /1 TB flash memory

For comparison: The Samsung Galaxy S24 comes with a choice of 128 GB (€ 639.00 *) or 256 GB (€ 729.00 *). With the Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, you have the choice between 256 GB (€ 773.95 *), 512 GB (€ 1,029.90 *) and 1 TB (€ 1,399.00 *) of memory.

Major RAM upgrade

Compared to the previous series, it is clear that not much has changed in terms of memory size. Instead, Samsung has apparently concentrated on the RAM. The top version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra had a maximum of 12 GB. This was no longer really up to date at the beginning of 2024. Now Samsung wants to go one better, if speculation is to be believed.

The 12 GB RAM is already available in the basic version of the Ultra. The other two will offer 16 GB. However, this should not only have positive effects. As it is expected that Samsung’s latest flagship series will not only come with a lot of RAM, but also the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite presented in October, the price is also likely to rise.
