Samsung Galaxy S25 price forecast: Save after just 2 months

On January 22, 2025 at 7 p.m., Samsung will present the latest generation of its popular S series: the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra. Based on the price trends of the predecessor models, forecasts can be made about the price drop of the new models. The price forecast from idealo suggests that after just two months there is potential for savings of 20%.

Important points:

  • The Galaxy S25 is expected to be available at a starting price of 899 euros (128 GB).
  • Within the first two months after the sales launch, the price could fall by around 20 percent to approx. 720 euros.
  • After six months, a price drop of up to 32 percent is possible, which corresponds to a price of around 610 euros.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series: These prices are expected

It can currently be assumed that the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will change little or not at all compared to its predecessors. This means that the Galaxy S25 would start at 899 euros in the version with 128 GB memory.

The Galaxy S25 Plus would therefore go on sale for €1,149 with 256 GB of storage, while the flagship model Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with 256 GB of storage would start at €1,449.

Price development of the Galaxy S25

Experience with previous models shows that the prices of the Galaxy S series fall significantly in the first few months after market launch. The price of the Galaxy S25 is expected to fall by around 20 percent within two months, meaning that it could be available for around 720 euros. After six months, the price could even fall to around 610 euros, which corresponds to a saving of 32 percent compared to the recommended retail price (RRP).

In total, savings of 17 to 23 percent could be possible for all three smartphones just eight weeks after the sales launch – so if you can wait a little longer before buying, you can save a lot.

Price forecast for the Galaxy S25 Plus

The Galaxy S25 Plus with a larger display and larger battery is expected to come onto the market with 256 GB of storage at a starting price of 1,149 euros. The price drop for this model could be somewhat slower than for the standard model.

After two months, a price reduction of around 17 percent to approx. 955 euros is possible. After four months, buyers could save more than 20 percent, which corresponds to a price of around 920 euros. If you are patient for around six months, you should be able to buy the Galaxy S25+ for around 800 euros, which corresponds to a price drop of around 30 percent. After the sixth month, however, the price drop should stagnate.
