Samsung Galaxy S26 prices: Significant jumps above the previous level
According to the leak, which is attributed to the well-known insider MysteryLupin, the prices mentioned come from Bulgaria and are clearly above the previous level of the Galaxy S series. The regular Samsung Galaxy S26 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is said to start at 1,199 euros. Compared to the German RRP of the Galaxy S25, this would correspond to a surcharge of around 240 euros. The variant with 512 GB of memory is even expected to cost 1,429 euros, which is an even more significant gap to its predecessor.

The differences are even greater with the Galaxy S26+. The entry-level configuration with 256 GB of storage is quoted at €1,499, while the 512 GB version is said to cost €1,729. This would bring the price of the Plus model much closer to previous Ultra variants. The specifications for the Galaxy S26 Ultra are particularly striking: With 256 GB of storage, it is said to start at €1,739, while the 512 GB version could cost as little as €1,969. According to the leak, the top version with 1 TB of storage is set to exceed the 2,000 euro mark for the first time and will cost 2,329 euros.
Classification and plausibility of the leaked Galaxy S26 prices
Despite the seemingly drastic figures, caution is advised. Although the leaker is considered reliable, the exact source of the price information is not known. It is also unclear what the price level of the Galaxy S25 series was in Bulgaria last year. The comparison with German RRP prices is therefore only reliable to a limited extent. In addition, VAT in Bulgaria is 20%, which is slightly higher than the German rate.
It is also interesting to note that a cheaper 128 GB version could possibly be offered again. If this is the case, the actual entry-level prices could be somewhat lower than currently rumored. Analysts had previously assumed that prices would remain stable, which makes this leak all the more surprising. It is conceivable that Samsung is pricing in rising production costs, new hardware features or a change in market positioning.
