Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: Mid-range tablet with S Pen

Samsung has introduced a new mid-range tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, which will be available in stores from 30 April. It will be available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite measures 244.5 x 154.3 x 7 mm and has a 10.4 inch display. Samsung speaks of narrow display edges here, but we are used to quite different things from smartphones. The display has a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels, which corresponds to 225 ppi. Unfortunately, it’s not an AMOLED display, but only TFT. A significantly worse viewing angle as well as a worse color fidelity has to be expected here.

The tablet is driven by an Exynos 9611 processor, which is also used in the new Galaxy M21. It offers 4x 2.3 GHz and 4x 1.7 GHz. Samsung relies on 4 gigabytes of main memory as well as 64 gigabytes of internal memory. The latter can be expanded via MicroSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite also offers dual speakers from AKG, which also support Dolby Atmos. This is intended to create an impressive surround sound, which allows you to enjoy movies, games or current favorite playlists even better.

In contrast to smartphones, cameras are usually not the focus of tablets. This is also the case here. The main camera on the back has a resolution of 8 megapixels (1/4.0″, F1.9), but is equipped with a wide-angle lens. The front camera has 5 megapixels (1/5.0″, F2.0) and is also wide-angle.

NFC is supported as well as Bluetooth 5.0. With Wi-Fi, however, you have to be satisfied with standards 4 and 5. There is also a 3.5 mm jack port. The battery measures 7,040 mAh.

A special feature of the tablet is still the included S Pen, with which handwritten notes can be made. It is also possible to convert text automatically. Android 10.0 with OneUI 2.1 is used as operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is supposed to be available in the colors Angora Blue and Oxford Gray in the shops from April 30th. The price will be 379 euros for the Wi-Fi version and 439 euros for the LTE version. Pre-orderers will receive a book cover and a voucher for the design of an S pen.
