Samsung S4: New business monitor with integrated webcam for home office unveiled

The 24-inch Samsung S4 business monitor from the South Korean company is primarily aimed at home office use and comes with an integrated webcam, a 75 Hz panel and AMD FreeSync support at a fair price.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many business users have come to love the benefits of the home office. With the Samsung S4 monitor, the company aims to deliver an ideal companion for working from home, with an integrated pop-out webcam that enables high-resolution images during video conferences. The cam can also be conveniently retracted into the case with a slight pressure.

The webcam is mounted directly on the case’s upper side and also supports logging in via Windows Hello. Samsung installs a microphone and two speakers for sound transmission in both directions and wants to enable interference-free video calls and more space on the desk due to fewer external devices.

Also suitable for gaming

The 24-inch Samsung S4 monitor resolves at Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) and offers a refresh rate of 75 hertz. At the same time, the IPS panel achieves a brightness of up to 250 cd/m2 bright, which is why the picture quality should turn out satisfactory even in direct sunlight.

Thanks to a gray-to-grey response time of 5 ms and AMD’s FreeSync support, the monitor is also suitable for gaming use.

For added convenience, the business monitor can be adjusted in height, tilted and rotated. In addition, the image can be easily viewed from different angles, allowing users to change their sitting position regularly. Other features include Eye Saver Mode, which reduces blue light emissions, and Flicker Free technology to reduce annoying screen flicker.

The Samsung S4 business monitor will be available in September 2021 at a suggested retail price of €309.
