SCHENKER ELEMENT 16: Semi-modular 16-inch ultrabook with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 presented

With the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16, Schenker Technologies, Intel and Pegatron are presenting a new laptop concept at CES 2026 that combines performance, repairability and sustainability. The semi-modular 16-inch ultrabook is based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and a flexible housing design with interchangeable components. The device is therefore aimed at both business users and tech-savvy users who value longevity and individual configuration.

  • Semi-modular design with interchangeable components and I/O boards
  • Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with up to 16 cores and 4.7 GHz
  • WQXGA display (2560 × 1600) in 16:10 format with 100% sRGB
  • Sustainable materials and expandable hardware options

Sustainable construction with repair and upgrade options

The core concept of the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 is based on modularity. The underside of the housing can be opened using a tool-free quick-release system, allowing easy access to central components. The interchangeable modules include I/O boards for connections, battery, fan, RAM and SSD memory as well as the keyboard, which is also designed for different layouts – such as ANSI or ISO. This means that the device can not only be customized, but also easily cleaned or repaired.

A mix of permanently soldered 16 GB DDR5-6400 RAM and an expandable SO-DIMM slot for up to 64 GB of additional memory offers flexibility for different usage scenarios – from office operation to content creation workflows. Future motherboard upgrades are also planned, ensuring that the ELEMENT 16 remains compatible with future Intel platforms in the long term. Schenker also provides documentation for repair and replacement procedures, which benefits both end customers and specialist dealers.

Sustainability plays a central role at Schenker: The housing is partly made of recycled plastic and metal, which reduces the ecological footprint. In addition, the device meets MIL-STD 810H standards – an indication of the high robustness and durability of the design.

Technological basis of the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16: Intel Core Ultra Series 3

Under the hood is the new generation of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which are designed for efficiency and AI-supported performance optimization. The top model Intel Core Ultra 7 356H offers 16 cores with a clock speed of up to 4.7 GHz and is suitable for both mobile productivity and light gaming.

The 16-inch display in 16:10 format has a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space, making it attractive for developers, designers and other creative professions. It also supports Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and TPM 2.0 – essential features for secure and modern working.

Pegatron acts as lead ODM partner and is responsible for the design and manufacturing of the barebone, while Intel provides the technical platform. Schenker Technologies, as the European OEM, is responsible for customization for the local market, including firmware optimization, keyboard layouts (over 30 versions) and warranty processing.

European accents and customized variants

For the European market, the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 will appear in a specially developed look, including the Onyx Black color variant. Schenker is also planning adjustments to the keyboard layout, performance profiles and system tuning options in order to optimally adapt the device to different user requirements.

The modular philosophy allows Schenker to update the ELEMENT 16 with new motherboards or components in the future – a step that could significantly extend the service life and value retention. Partners and specialist retailers should also benefit from transparent maintenance processes and long-term availability of spare parts.

SCHENKER ELEMENT 16: Conclusion

With the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16, Schenker Technologies presents a forward-looking ultrabook concept that combines sustainability, modularity and performance. The device shows that upgradeability and ease of repair in modern laptops are coming back into focus. Thanks to the Intel Core Ultra Series 3, 16-inch display and flexible architecture, the ELEMENT 16 offers a future-proof basis for business applications and creative workflows.
