The audio experts from Sennheiser are preparing to conquer the throne of open high-end headphones. With the Sennheiser HD 660 S2, the traditional German company wants to make its pair of headphones even better than the popular predecessor. In doing so, Sennheiser promises to have made improvements, especially in the sound. In particular, the frequency range should be even wider in the new version.
Sennheiser HD 660S2 is a treat for hi-fi fans
At first glance, the Sennheiser HD 660 S2 has not changed too much compared to its predecessor. Thus, the latest version also comes in an open design and with a cable connection. Based on the classic cable connection, which is without alternative, it is already clear that Sennheiser is clearly targeting audiophile users here.
Thanks to its low weight of 260 g, the open headphones can sit on the head for several hours without being uncomfortable. Soft ear pads are also supposed to ensure wearing comfort. On the outside of the ear pads, you can see the perforated design that is typical for open headphones. This is supposed to provide an extremely natural and light sound here.

Sennheiser HD 660S2 is now said to offer stronger bass
The high-quality premium headphones cover a frequency range of 8 – 41,500 Hz. It is noticeable that it has more to offer than its predecessor, especially in the low frequency range. Sennheiser takes this step to enable even deeper bass.
In order to be able to use the headphones flexibly despite the cable connection, the manufacturer includes several detachable cables. Among other things, two jack cables with a length of 1.8 m are to be in the game. While one of them offers a 6.3 mm jack plug, the second one comes with 4.4 mm. Thus, it should be possible to use them on high-quality HiFi players without any problems.
