The Sennheiser IE 600 do not follow the trend of true wireless headphones. The in-ear headphones are wired and are intended for audiophile sound lovers. However, at around 700 euros, the model also has a proud price.
Sennheiser IE 600 in detail
For the price of around 700 euros, however, the inclined buyers are also offered a lot with the Sennheiser IE 600 in-ear headphones. According to the manufacturer, a specially patented 3D printing process using ZR01 amorphous metal is used for high-quality workmanship.
The special metal with a glass-like structure has three times the hardness and bending strength of high-performance steel and is normally used in the aerospace industry. For example, in the drill head of NASA’s Mars rover, which is used in extreme conditions.
Away from this, Sennheiser promises to set “new standards in terms of sound neutrality.” This is to be realized by an innovative acoustic back volume inside the earphone and precision-engineered resonance chambers. Dual-chamber absorbers (D2CA) are located in the sound path between the transducer and the ear canal, which are said to provide exceptional sound quality alongside a single 7mm driver (Sennheiser TrueResponse transducer).
These D2CA chambers are precisely shaped to make even the subtlest sound elements audible by absorbing masking frequencies that can affect the sound experience in lesser quality headphones. In the Sennheiser IE 600, transducers and acoustic back volume have been tuned for a tonally neutral, intimate and emotional sound.
High wearing comfort
Ear tips, in a choice of silicone or memory foam, in three sizes ensure a comfortable fit and optimal fit, while the flexibly adjustable ear hooks are said to further enhance comfort for longer listening sessions.
Also included are para-aramid-reinforced, unbalanced and balanced cables equipped with 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs. They support connection to a wide range of audio sources and hi-fi components.
Price and Availability
However, the manufacturer makes the sum of these high-quality parts and hi-fi sound components pay princely for the Sennheiser IE 600. The in-ears with an MSRP of 699.00 euros should be available in stores from spring or summer 2022.
