Sennheiser presents “Momentum 4 Wireless” headphones

Sennheiser has unveiled its new Momentum 4 Wireless over-ear headphones. According to the manufacturer, the new headphones are designed to seamlessly follow in the footsteps of its predecessors and continue on the same path.

42-mm transducer system and other features

A 42 mm sound transducer system is to provide for first-class sound. Sennheiser itself speaks in this regard of brilliant dynamics and clarity, which should provide a high-fidelity sound. Particularly interesting is that the speakers are angled, which is supposed to create a flowing sound from the front towards the ear. According to Sennheiser, this in turn provides for a particularly natural-looking soundscape.

Other planned features include a voice assistant system and automatic speech recognition. The latter is supposed to facilitate the operation of the voice assistance system and also optimize calls. Sennheiser also promises that users of the new over-ear headphones will have numerous options for customization. This means that the sound can be adapted to the user’s own wishes and needs at a low threshold. This seems particularly sensible in view of the wide range of possible uses for the over-ear headphones, which can be used for listening to music as well as for transmitting gaming or movie sound, for example. In addition, it is possible to make calls via the headphones. As the name suggests, the new headphones are wireless. It thus differs from the IE 600, which was also introduced this year.

New design

Furthermore, Sennheiser has changed the design of the latest representative of the Momentum series. This should thereby not only aesthetically appealing, but also support the sound. According to Sennheiser, for example, the ear cushions, which are made of synthetic leather, have been designed to enable high precision sound reproduction as well as adaptive noise cancellation. This is complemented by improved cushioning, which should ensure a high level of comfort even during long periods of wear.

Nothing more is known about the new Momentum 4 Wireless. However, it can be assumed that Sennheiser will largely follow the Momentum True Wireless 3 presented some time ago in the further features here.

Price and Availability

The price of the new Sennheiser headphones – as well as other specifics – is not known. What is very well known, however, is the market launch date: The over-ear headphones will be available worldwide from August 4 this year.
