Sharkoon RGB Slider White – compact ATX case with 14 color modes

The Sharkoon RGB Slider White is a Midi ATX case reduced to the most important things with certain highlights. The side windows of the Slider are made of tempered glass and the RGB LED strips built into the front can be illuminated in 14 different color modes.

Minimalistic design

The RGB Slider is decorated on the front by a slightly curved RGB LED strip. Hence the name “Slider.” The integrated control allows this to be illuminated in 14 preset modes, but of course also via compatible motherboards. The Sharkoon RGB Slider has been awarded the “Addressable RGB” logo and is thus certified for Asus Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte Fusion and ASRock Polychrome SYNC, so they can be easily integrated into existing systems. With the RGB controller already installed, additional RGB elements can also be used in the case as long as they have a 5V-D coded-G or 5V-D-G pinout. The pin assignment is independent of the manufacturer, only the designation can be different depending on the manufacturer.

The pre-mounted RGB controller of the slider can act as a hub for synchronization and control for up to two addressable LED elements on compatible motherboards. Thus, these can be illuminated in 16.8 million colors. The controller and power supply are connected via a SATA connector and the addressable LEDs are connected via a 4-pin or 3-pin RGB connector.

If manual color control is preferred, the connection is not made via the power supply and the mainboard, but directly with the power supply and the reset button. This replaces the reset function with a new function, this one for switching through the fourteen different lighting modes. In addition, the reset button can also be used to turn off the lighting.

Clear presentation of the hardware

The left side of the RGB Slider is made of tempered glass and provides a wonderful view of the hardware. For this purpose, there are no visible screws in the side panel, this is attached to the back end of the case and outside the visible area. Thus, the view is not spoiled.

With dimensions of 40.0 x 19.0 x 45.6 cm (L x W x H), the Midi-ATX case is compact and best suited for minimalist setups. Despite the slider’s small size, it can also accommodate larger hardware. The slider holds graphics cards up to a length of 335 mm and CPU coolers up to 157 mm.

Optimal Airflow

To enable optimal airflow, the Sharkoon RGB Slider offers plenty of options. Already pre-installed is a 120 mm fan in the rear part of the slider, which already brings part of the warm air to the outside. In addition, more fans can be installed, so there is room for up to three more 120 mm fans behind the front and in the top, another three 120 mm fans or two 140 mm fans. To provide additional cooling for the hard drive, another 120-mm fan can also be placed on the tunnel.

Availability and price

The Sharkoon RGB Slider White is available now at a price starting at 44.90 euros.
