Shazam version 15: Better music recognition through prolonged listening

The music recognition app Shazam has been updated. In the new Shazam version 15 of the app, music recognition has been further optimized by noticeably increasing the amount of time the app takes to recognize music.

Apple subsidiary Shazam has given its app a major update that further improves music recognition. Shazam version 15 is now available for download. From now on, the Shazam app for iOS and Android has the option to extend the listening process.

This means that the music recognition app has more usable data, which should mean that Shazam now recognizes “even more songs by searching more accurately and for longer,” Shazam shares.

This new feature, however, is initially only intended for the native Shazam app. The version that can be called up in iOS or iPadOS via the control center does not yet use the longer music recognition. It is unknown whether Apple can also offer this on the server side or whether a software update will be necessary for this.

Apple users (or Android devotees) who have not yet used the Apple Music music streaming service should take a look at the new Shazam version 15.

Anyone who uses Shazam to recognize a song by January 31 will get 5 months of Apple Music for free as a new customer. Those who already had a subscription in the past will still get two months of Apple Music for free.
