Shokz OpenRun Pro unveiled at CES 2022

With the OpenRun Pro unveiled at CES 2022, manufacturer Shokz aims to redefine bone-conduction headphones. The sports headphone is said to feature better sound, higher wearing comfort and a secure fit with excellent runtime and unclouded ambient perception.

The basis has always been bone-sound technology, in which sound waves are not transmitted to the inner ear through the ear canals, but through the cheekbones. This keeps the ears free, for even more safety through unrestricted ambient perception during sports.

With Shokz TurboPitchTM, the now ninth generation of the patented bone-conduction technology, is thus to achieve even more powerful bass, accentuated mids and particularly clear highs while optimizing vibration behavior.

High and safe wearing comfort

The high-quality, ergonomically shaped titanium earpieces of the Shokz OpenRun Pro are said to ensure a high level of wearing comfort and a secure fit at all times. Even with violent head movements during intense sports or similar.

Control buttons have also been enlarged, for easier control of volume and playlist. With the new Shokz APP for iOS and Android, it is also possible to further optimize the sound of voice transmissions for podcasts or phone calls. In addition, Bluetooth multipoint pairing can be enabled to pair the OpenRun Pro with multiple mobile devices.

10 hours of battery life

The Shokz OpenRun Pro’s enduring battery allows up to ten hours of playback of music, audiobooks, podcasts or phone calls. Thanks to Quick Charge, five minutes of charging on the magnetic cable is enough to get the headphones back in shape for up to 1.5 hours of music enjoyment.

Thanks to IP55 certification, even rainy weather, sweat and dust cannot harm the sports headphones. Built-in is also a noise-canceling microphone with dual-noise-canceling technology, which means that the headphones can also be used as a headset.

Price and availability

Shokz headphones and headsets are available at select retailers as well as online retailers and the web store at en.shokz.com. The Shokz OpenRun Pro is expected to be available in Germany at the end of February 2022 in black and blue for an MSRP of 189.95 euros. Beige and pink colors will be available later.
