SilentiumPC has introduced a new CPU cooler and fan that are supposed to convince with a successful value for money and combine ARGB lighting with efficient and especially quiet ventilation. The Fera 5 ARGB CPU cooler and Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fan are waiting with many exciting features.
Fera 5 ARGB CPU Cooler
The new edition of the popular Fera 5 CPU cooler combines the performance, efficiency and excellent acoustic characteristics of the original Fera 5 CPU cooler with addressable RGB lighting. It relies on an optimized aluminum socket with four heatpipes connected to an asymmetrical heatsink. They are in direct contact with the processor, which allows waste heat to be quickly transferred to the heatsink.
The heatsink consists of 56 cooling fins with specially shaped edges. Due to its asymmetrical design, the Fera 5 ARGB heatsink is optimized for unidirectional airflow. Thanks to its low height of 155 mm, the Fera 5 ARGB fits into all common PC cases – even RAM modules are not overlapped by the cooler as a result.
A completely redesigned mounting system was developed especially for the Fera 5, which improves the pressure on the processor, thereby optimizing cooling performance. The system consists of a smaller number of parts that allow the cooler to be mounted in the orientation of the user’s choice, vertically or horizontally. It is also easier to install than ever before.
The CPU cooler comes with the proven Pactum PT-3 thermal compound in a quantity sufficient for multiple applications. The accessory kit allows the installation of up to two fans in total. The cooler is compatible with all popular processor sockets and all products included in the kit come with a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Fully customizable lighting
Addressable RGB lighting can be controlled in three different ways on both the Fera 5 ARGB CPU cooler and Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fan: directly via the included Nano-Reset ARGB controller, by connecting to a compatible motherboard, or by syncing with the advanced controller included with select SilentiumPC cases.
Thanks to ARGB signal splitters, the cooler can be connected to a single ARGB port and also has the ability to sync with many other SilentiumPC products such as Aurora Stripes ARGB LED strips, ARGB fan (e.g. Stella HP or Corona HP ARGB) as well as Astrum, Armis, Regnum, Signum and Ventum cases (with ARGB compatibility).
Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fan: Nearly silent and powerful
The cooler is equipped with the new Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fans, which are said to operate very quietly while turning out to be enormously powerful. They rely on distinctive, serrated fan blades to provide the high static pressure needed to ensure good airflow through the Fera 5 heatsink.
Both the frame and the fan can be fully customized to the user’s preferences in terms of effects and colors. The visual effects can be controlled separately for each LED, not only in the Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fan, but also in the illuminated frame. A wide range of lighting effects and almost all of the 16 million available colors in their various combinations are available for this purpose.
The Fluctus 120 PWM ARGB fan features a modern and durable FDB bearing (MTBF 100,000 hours), while the corners are equipped with anti-vibration rubber elements. The fan speed can be adjusted from 300 to 1,800 (± 10%) rpm at will. It is even possible to temporarily turn off the Fluctus fans (“fan stop”) to keep the computer running passively and quietly at low load.
Price and Availability
The new Fera 5 ARGB CPU cooler including the new fan is available now at an MSRP of 36.99 euros from various online stores from Poland and should also find its way to German retailers shortly.
