In collaboration with Ubisoft, Razer recently announced the release of a special edition of the BlackShark V2 Pro aimed at fans of the Six Siege game. The special edition features the Six Siege design, but is technically no different from the standard version of the headset.
Six Siege design
The design represents the heart and the unique selling point of the new headset. It is kept in black and white, in addition to orange offsets. Both the seams of the headset as well as the inside of the ear cups and the cables of the headset stand out due to their orange coloring. The product is thus aimed primarily at fans of the game who also want to express what they’re passionate about in front of the PC – and possibly in their wider everyday lives. With more than 60 million players (as of May 2020), the target group is large.
Technically no differences to the standard version
Technically, the device is no different from the standard version of the BlackShark V2 Pro. This means that the headset is wirelessly operable via 2.4 GHz wireless connection, offers surround sound and is equipped with a 50 mm driver. Other features include ear cushions that offer breathable fabric, memory foam, as well as passive noise cancellation, a 9.9mm Discord-certified microphone that can be detached if needed, and two sound modes that are said to promote immersion (THX Environmental mode) and surround sound (THX Tournament mode). The headset’s battery is said to be able to last up to 24 hours.
Price and availability
The special edition BlackShark V2 Pro is available now on the manufacturer’s page. It should also be available from selected other companies from July. The price is 199.99 euros, which is no different from the standard version.
