SK622: Cooler Master presents new gaming keyboard

With the SK622, Cooler Master introduces a new gaming keyboard with a 60 percent layout. Cooler Master thus follows the trend towards smaller keyboards.

Seamless tie-in to predecessor model

The SK622 is the direct successor to the SK621. Cooler Master ensures with the product design that the close relationship remains recognizable at first glance: Except for a few innovations, the two keyboards resemble each other. For example, the SK622 also comes in an extremely slim 60 percent design, is made of brushed aluminum and has mechanical low-profile switches. Furthermore, just like the predecessor model, it can be connected via Bluetooth as well as USB-C.

New features: Haptics and ergonomics

However, the SK622 also brings its own qualities, thanks to which it differs from the SK621. Probably the most noticeable innovation is the changed haptics of the keycaps. Bryant Nguyen, responsible for peripherals at Cooler Master, pointed out during the product launch that the company incorporated feedback on the keycaps of the previous model into the development of the new caps. He said that they are now much more comfortable to use for both ordinary typing and gaming.

Another change concerns the ergonomic features of the keyboard. Unlike the previous model, it has adjustable feet, which should make working with the device more comfortable. In this context, Nguyen emphasized that the keyboard is aimed at gamers, but also at creatives who are looking for a robust keyboard. Thanks to the slim design and the quality offered, the SK622 should – according to the company’s claim – fit into both the office and gaming setups.

Pricing and Availability

The keyboard is available now at a price of around 130 euros.
