Sony has unveiled the latest addition to its premium in-ear range: the WF-1000XM5. These headphones are not only smaller and lighter than their predecessor, but also offer a number of improvements that make them a must-have for audiophiles.
Innovative Noise Cancellation
One of the standout features of the WF-1000XM5 is active noise cancellation (ANC). Sony claims that these headphones offer the best ANC the company has ever used in a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) model. This is achieved by integrating three microphones into each earphone, including dual-feedback microphones that are said to significantly improve low-frequency noise cancellation.
Improved call quality
In addition to ANC, the WF-1000XM5 also have improved call quality. Thanks to specially designed processors and bone sound sensors, the microphones can reliably capture and transmit the voice to the other party even in noisy environments. This means you can have clear and distinct conversations even in noisy environments.
Excellent audio quality
The WF-1000XM5 offer wide frequency response, deep bass and clear vocals, thanks to Dynamic Driver X. In addition, they support High-Resolution Audio and DSEE Extreme, resulting in impressive sound quality. They also support Sony’s 360° Reality Audio with head tracking, which means sound will always come from the screen accurately, even when you’re moving.
Long battery life and convenient features
The WF-1000XM5 offer up to 8 hours of battery life, and the included case can be charged wirelessly via Qi. They are also IPX4 splash and sweat resistant, making them ideal for use during sports or on the go.
The WF-1000XM5 will be available in August 2023 at a price of approximately 319 euros in black and silver. With their combination of advanced technology and practical features, they are a great choice for anyone looking for high-quality in-ear headphones.
