Creative presents the Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus, improving on the 2018 introduced Sound BlasterX AE-5. There are no significant changes to the hardware, the surround sound enhancements have been improved.
The sound card is still based on an Xamp headphone dual amplifier and an ESS-SABRE32 ultra-class DAC (122 decibels 32 bit / 384 kilohertz). RGB lighting for gaming enthusiasts is also still on board. Both technically and optically, nothing has changed in the new version of the sound card.
A new addition is the support of Dolby Digital Live and Connect encoding, which is intended to provide an even better surround sound experience. The Sound Blaster Command software has also been updated, but not only for the Plus version, but also for the original AE-5.
The Creative Sound Blaster AE-5 Plus is priced at 159.99 Euro RRP. It is already available in the Creative online shop.
