SPC Gear brings affordable RGB keyboard for 55 euros

SPC Gear has a real challenge up its sleeve. The manufacturer brings a mechanical TKL keyboard with RGB keys at an MSRP of 55 Euros. Besides a compact format, the PC expert wants to score with special Kailh switches and high-quality aluminum.

Omission of number pad

Keyboards in a compact format are also becoming more and more interesting for gaming enthusiasts. Silentium PC (SPC) also seems to be aware of this. However, the manufacturer retains other important elements. Thus, the practical F-keys and a navigation cluster remain. German users will be happy about the QWERTY layout.

Thanks to the built-in RGB lighting, you can already tell at first glance that this is a real gaming keyboard. But this impression remains even at second glance. SPC does not use a general illumination. Instead, the RGB lighting can be adjusted individually. The effects and macros can be configured comfortably without separate software. After all, they are programmed in ex works.

High-quality workmanship

The compact gaming keyboard is mainly made of plastic. However, SPC gives the keyboard a chic aluminum plate away from the case. This has been placed on the upper side to provide corresponding stability. The basic shape is already supposed to provide great ergonomics. The manufacturer has angled the keyboard a bit. If the angle isn’t enough, you can adjust it individually. The two support feet on the underside serve this purpose.

A small dream for gamers

SPC Gear also makes no compromises when it comes to the switches. High-quality models from the experts at Kailh are used here. The N-Key rollover also sounds particularly practical. Since several keystrokes can be processed simultaneously, SPC’s compact keyboard should be able to score even in exciting online matches.

Another practical feature is the detachable USB cable. This can be hidden even when connected. SPC has installed practical cable channels on the underside. A keyboard cap puller can also be stored on the back. This is unusual, but will please many users.

A challenge to the competition

SPC Gear has a hot iron in the fire with its compact gaming keyboard. The manufacturer is calling for an MSRP of just 55 euros for the GK630K. Should the small keyboard deliver what it promises, it would certainly be the perfect input device for many gamers.
