SPC Gear GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition introduced

The SPC Gear GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition is a new full-format mechanical keyboard from SilentiumPC’s gaming division that wants to convince gamers and frequent typists alike. Similar to the GK630K Tournament RGB Pudding Edition (our review), it relies on keycaps that visually resemble pudding.

Unlike the GK630K with a TKL layout, the SPC Gear GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition relies on a full keyboard layout including a number pad. The keyboard is offered in a white and a black color scheme, as well as with the switch types Kailh Red (linear), Kailh Brown (tactile), Kailh Blue (“clicky”).

The white model also impresses visually with silver elements and is equipped with the brown switches as standard. Common to all models are extra durable PBT “pudding” keycaps, configurable RGB backlighting and side stripes, a solid and compact design, an aluminum reinforced top and a magnetic palm rest.

RGB lighting and keycaps

Thanks to the integrated numeric keypad, the GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition keyboards allow efficient entry of numeric values, for example in office programs, quick mathematical calculations or even the assignment of additional functions in games. In addition, each of the 104 keys is individually backlit, so that the lighting style of the entire keyboard can be freely adjusted to your own preferences.

The SPC Gear GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition features unique PBT keycaps manufactured using Double Injection technology. This process involves injecting two color variants of the material into the mold one after the other, resulting in a unique two-tone finish while maintaining high rigidity. At the same time, the pudding keycaps are said to be particularly robust and protected against abrasion.

Palm rest and volume wheel

The GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition also comes with a palm rest, which is attached to the underside of the keyboard via magnets. The rest is also equipped with rubber feet on the underside to protect it from slipping.

The GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition keyboards are equipped with a wide metal volume control, which can be used to adjust the volume. Every movement of the wheel is confirmed by a tactile click, visually the whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of the keyboards from manufacturer Steelseries.

The keyboard also features a detachable USB cable and special integrated cable channels on the bottom. This allows for more versatile cable routing and complete replacement of the USB Type-C cable, for example with a longer cable.

Price and Availability

The SPC Gear GK650K Omnis Pudding Edition is available in stores now. MSRP for both colorways and all of the switch types is $89.90.
