Speedlink Payze, Drift O.Z. and Trailblazer: New racing equipment presented

As part of gamescom 2022, Speedlink has unveiled a new range of racing equipment aimed primarily at fans of sim racing titles. The Speedlink Payze Racing Simulator Cockpit is meant to make you feel like you’re in the cockpit of a sports car, while the new Speedlink Drift O.Z. and Trailblazer steering wheels are meant to provide a racing feel.

Speedlink Payze: racing cockpit made of PU leather

For those who want to feel as if they are sitting right in the cockpit themselves when playing current racing simulations, the Speedlink Payze marks an exciting all-round solution. The solid metal frame of the cockpit can be individually adjusted to the user’s height and features an extremely comfortable as well as durable PU leather seat.

This is supposed to provide the highest possible seating comfort for a real racetrack feeling. Both the backrest and the mounts for the foot pedals and steering wheel can be optimally aligned depending on the seating position, the manufacturer promises.

The backrest can be tilted between 90 degrees and 135 degrees and is 77 cm high. Thus, the Payze is aimed at people with a height between 160 cm and 200 cm. The seat is 51 cm wide and 48 cm deep, which should provide more than enough space.

A similar solution, but in a practical, foldable design, marks the Next Level Racing F-GT LITE Cockpit, which we tested in April 2022.

Speedlink Drift O.Z. and Trailblazer: Two new steering wheels

.
Quite reasonably priced comes the new Speedlink Drift O.Z. steering wheel, which can be used exclusively on the PC. A rubberized steering wheel rim provides a pleasant feel, while the racing wheel can be attached to the table with strong suction cups.

The scope of delivery includes a professional shift knob and finely controllable pedals, although shifting can of course also be done with the paddle shifters. The steering range turns out to be 180 degrees, while the strength of the vibrations can be freely adjusted. A digital control pad and 12 function keys are available for operation. The Drift O.Z. connects via USB using a 2-meter cable.

The Speedlink Trailblazer is the corresponding counterpart for consoles and is characterized primarily by its versatile connectivity with PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox Series X/S/One, Nintendo Switch/OLED and PC.

Again, there’s a gear stick and dual pedals, as well as quick-access paddle shifters. Also offered are a digipad and 12 additional keys, some of which may be reprogrammed. Speedlink promises strong vibration effects for a highly realistic gaming experience and two status LEDs to indicate the input mode.

If the suction feet of both steering wheels are not enough for you, the manufacturer also offers a table mount for the racing wheels. Thanks to the uncomplicated hand screw, the bracket can be easily mounted and attached to tabletops with a thickness of up to 40 millimeters.

Prices and availability

The two Speedlink Drift O.Z. and Trailblazer steering wheels are available in stores now at an MSRP of $99.99. You can also get the table mount now, it’s priced at 9.99 euros. The Speedlink Payze Cockpit, on the other hand, is still waiting until October and has a recommended retail price of 349.99 Euro.
