SteelSeries has announced a new line of gaming peripherals that it says was developed in collaboration with more than 100 eSports professionals and is optimized for the needs of professional gamers. In addition to three mice, a new headset is also part of the Prime range.
Gaming Mouse Prime
The new Prime gaming mouse is a real lightweight at 69 grams and is said to feel particularly good in the hand thanks to its textured design – even during prolonged use. In addition, the coating prevents the mouse from slipping in hectic gaming situations or with sweaty hands. Inside the new Prime gaming mouse works a TrueMove Pro sensor, which can be adjusted in terms of its resolution even during the game. Developed in collaboration with PixArt, the sensor offers 1-to-1 tracking. The maximum resolution is 18,000 CPI, the tracking speed is 450 IPS. The new mouse is available at a price of 69.99 euros.
Gaming Mouse Prime+
The Prime+ gaming mouse, which was also introduced, differs from the Prime by its sensor as well as a slightly increased weight of 71 grams in total. The TrueMove+ sensor – unlike the one used in the Prime – offers an integrated lift-off sensor. This ensures even greater precision. For the Prime+, SteelSeries is calling for a price of 89.99 euros.
Gaming Mouse Prime Wireless
The Prime Wireless is the wireless variant of the already presented Prime. Another difference is the sensor used: the Prime Wireless uses the TrueMove Air sensor, which, like the TrueMove Pro sensor, offers a maximum resolution of 18,000 CPI and 1-to-1 tracking. The weight – due to the integrated battery – is 80 grams, making the wireless variant the heaviest of the three new Prime mice. The battery life, meanwhile, is given as up to 100 hours. The Prime Wireless is available for 139.99 euros.
Gaming Headset Arctis Prime
In addition to the three gaming mice, a new gaming headset, the Arctis Prime, was also introduced. Among other things, this headset is equipped with noise-isolating ear pads covered in synthetic leather and a HiFi audio driver. In addition, there is a noise-canceling microphone with Discord certification. All relevant controls are located directly on the headset, and it connects to the output device via a 3.5 mm jack cable. The price is 119.99 euros.
