SteelSeries Prime Mini and Prime Mini Wireless: New compact gaming mice launch

SteelSeries adds two compact gaming mice to its Prime peripheral line. The Prime Mini and Prime Mini Wireless focus on a compact and lightweight case without missing the comfort of their bigger brothers.

Small and Light

The SteelSeries Prime minimalist gaming mouse left a very good impression in our review. The Danish manufacturer has now introduced two smaller brothers, the SteelSeries Prime Mini and Prime Mini Wireless.

As the name suggests, both gaming mice have a compact size and differ especially in terms of connectivity. The Prime Mini is said to be a full 12 percent lighter than its larger counterpart, while the Prime Mini Wireless is 9 percent lighter than the wireless SteelSeries Prime.

The compact size is said to result in improved ergonomics and allow for even better control. The SteelSeries Prime Mini measures 120.3 mm x 66.2 mm x 40.7 mm (L x H x D) and weighs only 61 grams. The wireless variant comes to the same size, but weighs a bit more at 73 grams.

Parallels to the SteelSeries Prime

Once again, both gaming mice use the magnetic Prestige OM switches, which we already liked a lot on the larger model. In terms of the sensor, the fighting dwarfs do not differ from their big brothers either:

SteelSeries once again relies on the convincing TrueMove Pro sensor, which was developed together with PixArt to ensure the highest possible precision. It resolves at 18,000 CPI, offers true 1-to-1 tracking, and comes in at 450 IPS with 50G acceleration.

SteelSeries Prime Mini Wireless

The SteelSeries Prime Mini Wireless relies on Quantum Wireless 2.0 technology for lag-free performance. The battery is said to provide 100 hours of playtime on a single charge and can be recharged while gaming. Just 15 minutes of charging is enough to power the mouse for 15 hours.

Prices and Availability

The SteelSeries Prime Mini and Prime Mini Wireless are available now. The MSRP for the Prime Mini is €69.99, while the Prime Mini Wireless is priced at €139.99.
