Streacom DA6 and DA6 XL: Cases in cool tube design

Are classic PC cases too boring for you? If you are looking for a real eye-catcher, Streacom might have just the right product for you. With the DA6 and DA6 XL, vertical cases in two different sizes will soon be on the market. The special highlight of the whole thing: A tubular frame is supposed to give the case a flexible design.

A real eye-catcher

Just a few years ago, pretty much every PC case was called a tower. However, increasingly compact dimensions in hardware components allowed manufacturers to produce smaller cases as well. The Streacom DA6 and DA6 XL are without a doubt true towers.

But a highlight is not only the tower-shaped design, which should certainly make any setup a real eye-catcher. Due to the open design and a modular construction, a customized PC can also be put together here.

The view into the tube

With the DA6 and DA6 XL, Streacom is breaking new ground that we haven’t seen from the competition in this form. Here, a tube system made of steel provides stability, but also a chic look. Since the manufacturer relies on a continuous tube here, the design looks like a single piece. Brackets can be individually attached to the tube and moved, which allows the installation of hardware of almost all common sizes.

On top of that, since the whole thing isn’t surrounded by a case, you hardly have to worry about airflow. However, you will also have to clean the individual hardware components more often this way than with a counterpart with a dust-protective casing. The difference between the DA6 and DA6 XL is the size. Thus, the slightly smaller DA6 is subject to a maximum graphics card length of 323 mm. If that’s not enough, you can go for the DA6 XL.

Thanks to its taller design, it can easily accommodate larger hardware. The modular design behind the DA6 (XL) is even reflected in the I/O. According to the manufacturer, the cases should contain a module ex-factory, which also has a USB-C port in addition to the power button. This can be installed either on the top or the bottom. On top of that, Streacom wants to offer other modules with additional ports later.

Prices and availability

With the Streacom DA6 and DA6 XL, one should have the choice between the colors chrome and black. Those who want to secure the somewhat different PC case can strike from the end of July 2022. Then both versions are supposed to be launched at a RRP of 139.00 Euros (DA6) and 149.00 Euros (DA6 XL).
