Thermaltake Argent K6 RGB and Damysus RGB: Gaming keyboard and mouse presented

Just in time for CES 2022, Thermaltake has expanded its in-house Argent series. The mechanical keyboard in a low-profile design called Thermaltake Argent K6 RGB makes the start. Here, the manufacturer relies on an aluminum cover including keycaps floating above it.

In terms of switches, buyers have a choice between Cherry MX low-profile RGB Red and RGB Speed Silver, while an included palm rest is supposed to provide additional comfort even in the long run.

The K6 RGB also features additional buttons for media control, as well as USB passthrough for connecting another device. Controlling the keyboard and RGB lighting is done using Thermaltake’s iTAKE software, which can also be used to create and save macros. Synchronization with other TT RGB PLUS 2.0 products is also possible.

Thermaltake also has a new gaming mouse on offer, or rather two: the Damysus RGB comes once wired and once as a wireless model that connects to the PC via 2.4 GHz receiver or Bluetooth.

However, there are also further differences between the two Damysus models from a technical point of view. The Damysus RGB Wireless uses a PixArt PMW-3370 sensor with 19,000 DPI. Both main keys are equipped with particularly robust Omron switches, which have a lifespan of 60 million clicks.

In combination with the 2.4 GHz receiver, the battery life is supposed to be a respectable 36 hours. In Bluetooth mode, on the other hand, up to 52 hours of operation are possible. Wired operation is also possible if desired, while charging the aklkus at the same time.

Both mice feature dual-zone RGB lighting controlled using iTAKE software and synced with TT RGB PLUS 2.0. The wireless Thermaltake Damysus RGB weighs in at 83 grams, while the wired model weighs just 74 grams. In it, the manufacturer installs a PixArt PMW-3389 sensor with up to 16,000 DPI, while the rest of the specifications, such as RGB lighting or Omron switches, are identical.

Prices and availability

The Thermaltake Argent K6 RGB keyboard, as well as Thermaltake Damysus RGB gaming mouse should be available shortly, according to statement of the manufacturer. However, Thermaltake has not given any information about the prices yet.
