TicWatch Pro X: New WearOS smartwatch offers up to 45 days of battery life

After the great success of the TicWatch Pro 3 (254.99 Euros on Amazon) and TicWatch E3 (169.99 Euros on Amazon with coupon), Mobvoi has now introduced the new TicWatch Pro X, which towers above the two smartwatch models as the flagship. It combines an AMOLED with an FSTN LCD display and thus comes up with a battery life of up to 45 days. 4G and Snapdragon 4100 are also in the mix.

New flagship smartwatch

While there is still no trace of the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS, which has already been leaked several times, Mobvoi now presented the TicWatch Pro X in China, which relies on two displays similar to the Pro 3. The manufacturer installs a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 326 ppi.

It is used in smartwatch mode and has all functions of the smart watch. According to the manufacturer, the battery life is around four days. However, the watch also uses an FSTN LCD panel on top to save power. It is particularly efficient and only offers a significantly limited range of functions, but increases the smartwatch’s runtime to up to 45 days.

In terms of SoC, the Pro X relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100, which is supported by an auxiliary chip developed by Mobvoi. In addition, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage space are offered. The TicWatch Pro X relies on sensors for pulse and blood oxygen content, and you can also choose between 20 different sports modes. An LTE modem is also included, which can be used in combination with an eSIM via 4G and VoLTE to make calls without a smartphone.

The watch is protected against dust via IPX6 and relies on Google’s WearOS in version 2. Presumably, the update to version 3.0 should take place next year; the update has already been confirmed for the TicWatch Pro 3 and E3. Although NFC is not explicitly listed in the Chinese item description, the product images suggest that payments via GooglePay are also possible with the watch.

Price and Availability

The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro X is currently available exclusively in China via JD.com. The price is the equivalent of 265 euros. It is currently unclear if and when the smartwatch will also come to Europe.
