TP-Link introduces three novelties in the Deco series designed to improve the Internet at home

After manufacturer TP-Link had already presented some exciting new products at CES 2023, the smart home and network infrastructure specialist is now following suit and presenting three new devices from the Deco series. The manufacturer’s goal here is to make fast, stable and easy-to-use home networking available to the widest possible range of users.

TP-Link Deco PX50: G.hn Powerline Brings Wi-Fi Through Walls

With the TP-Link Deco PX50, you can expect a powerline adapter that is supposed to transmit the Wi-Fi signal even through thick walls. Deco PX50 combines next-generation G.hn powerline with WiFi 6 to deliver dual-band Wi-Fi at up to 3 Gbps and powerline speeds of up to 1,500 Mbps.

So compared to previous HomePlug AV/AV2 powerline products, the speed increases noticeably with the new adapter, while the range has also been improved and stability optimized.

G.hn with 2×2 MIMO allows multiple connections to be made simultaneously and even through walls and floors, while the signal can thus be reliably transmitted to any room via the power line.

Deco X50-PoE

With Power over Ethernet (PoE), a single cable can provide both data connectivity and power to devices. This is where the TP-Link Deco X50-PoE comes in, marking the manufacturer’s first product with PoE support and featuring a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port and a 1 Gbps WAN/LAN port.

Both ports can serve as PoE ports in the process. It should be flexible to install and can also be mounted on the ceiling or wall, for example.

Deco X50-Outdoor brings the Internet outdoors

The TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor, on the other hand, is equipped with a durable waterproof case and cover that protect it from harsh outdoor conditions such as dust, shock, vibration, moisture and more.

It is IP65 certified and has two Gigabit WAN/LAN ports that support PoE. This allows it to be mounted on a wall or pole outside, or placed normally to provide a stable Internet connection outdoors.

Prices and Availability

All new TP-Link Deco products are available in stores now. The Deco PX50 has an MSRP of 369.90 euros for a three-pack, while the X50 PoE and the X50-Outdoor each have a recommended retail price of 149.90 euros for a single-pack.
