TP-Link launches Deco BE25 and Tapo RV30 Max Plus

TP-Link is once again causing a stir with its latest products in the field of network solutions and smart homes. The Deco BE25 mesh router and the Tapo RV30 Max Plus robot vacuum cleaner combine modern technology with fairly affordable prices and could therefore enjoy great success on the mass market.

Important information at a glance:

  • Deco BE25: WiFi 7-compatible mesh solution with up to 3.6 Gbps transmission speed.
  • Tapo RV30 Max Plus: Robot vacuum cleaner with 5,300 Pa suction power and autonomous emptying system.
  • Both products are characterized by a strong price-performance ratio.

Deco BE25: WiFi 7 for the mass market

The Deco BE25 represents a new generation of mesh routers that makes WiFi 7 accessible to a wide range of users. Despite its relatively low price, the gadget features advanced technologies that were previously only found in higher-priced models. For example, users can rely on a dual-band system that enables speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps.

The 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are used, which delivers outstanding performance despite not using the 6 GHz band. A highlight of the Deco BE25 is its support for multi-link operation (MLO), which enables simultaneous data transmission across both frequency bands, minimizing network latency and optimizing data throughput.

There is also 4K QAM, which allows larger data volumes per signal and increases the transmission rate by up to 20 %. Multi-RU (multi-resource units) also increases the efficiency of data transmission, especially with many connected devices.

The Deco BE25 has two 2.5 Gigabit LAN ports per device, which also makes it an attractive option for wired networks. Thanks to AI-controlled roaming, the connection remains stable in large living areas, while a combined wireless and wired backhaul is designed to ensure interference-free communication between the mesh units.

Tapo RV30 Max Plus: vacuum robot with precision and performance

With the Tapo RV30 Max Plus, TP-Link’s smart home brand is launching an upgrade of the Tapo RV30 Max Plus (review). With 5300 Pascal suction power paired with the innovative DeepVac technology, it is designed to offer more power when vacuuming hard floors and carpets. TP-Link emphasizes that its high suction power makes it particularly suitable for pet owners and allergy sufferers.

The RV30 Max Plus uses a LiDAR-based navigation system, supported by an IMU (inertial measurement unit). This combination enables precise and safe navigation, even in complex spaces or in the presence of obstacles. In addition, a surface sensor ensures that the robot does not drive under furniture where it could get stuck.

Another plus point is the Quiet Clean Mode, which enables cleaning even in noise-sensitive environments. The robot hoover moves almost silently through rooms while simultaneously mopping and vacuuming. Thanks to the suction station, the user does not have to worry about emptying the dust container – the appliance takes care of this step automatically.

The RV30 Max Plus is fully compatible with the Matter standard, which ensures smooth integration into smart home systems. On paper, this all sounds very promising. In our test, we will put it through its paces to see whether TP-Link’s promises are true. A model of the smart household helper is already in our test lab.

Conclusion: Powerful and inexpensive

With the Deco BE25 and the Tapo RV30 Max Plus, TP-Link is launching two products on the market that appear to offer modern technology at a really fair price. The Deco BE25 offers an affordable way to upgrade to WiFi 7, while the Tapo RV30 Max Plus is a powerful solution for automatic home cleaning. Both devices are available now – the Deco BE25 from €149.90 and the Tapo RV30 Max Plus for €249.90.
