With the InfinityBook Max 16, TUXEDO Computers is expanding its Linux notebook series with a particularly powerful model that combines classic business requirements with gaming and workstation hardware. The smaller InfinityBook Max 15 is now followed by a larger version that relies on Intel’s latest high-end mobile processors and integrates modern NVIDIA graphics. Despite these performance data, the device remains surprisingly slim and mobile. This positions the notebook as a versatile solution for demanding work scenarios, creative applications and graphics-intensive games.

The TUXEDO InfinityBook Max 16 is based on an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, a processor with desktop DNA that packs 24 CPU cores into a mobile format. Despite the slim all-aluminum housing, the CPU can work with up to 140 watts in continuous operation, which is unusual in this device class. This is made possible by a specially developed low-profile cooling system that combines high performance with controllable noise levels. The power consumption can be flexibly adjusted between 10 and 140 watts via the TUXEDO Control Center, allowing the notebook to be optimized for both quiet office work and computing-intensive tasks.

With a weight of just over two kilograms, the device remains easily transportable for this performance class. The integrated 99 Wh battery, the maximum permitted capacity in air travel, enables runtimes of up to eight hours with moderate use. In addition, the InfinityBook Max 16 supports charging via USB-C with up to 140 watts, which makes it easier to use compact power adapters on the go. The combination of high CPU performance, large battery capacity and flexible energy management seems technically plausible and is clearly aimed at professional users who frequently switch between work and mobile use.

Graphics performance, display options and features for work & play

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 are available for graphics-intensive applications. Both GPUs are in the upper mid-range and, depending on the configuration, offer significantly higher performance than integrated graphics solutions. The Total Graphics Power can be adjusted between 45 and 115 watts, enabling a sensible compromise between performance, temperature and noise. In combination with the CPU, this results in a mobile platform that can handle modern games in high quality settings as well as professional 3D, video or AI workflows.

TUXEDO offers two clearly positioned display options. The LED panel with 2560 × 1600 pixels, 300 Hz, 500 nits and full DCI-P3 color space is aimed at users with a focus on high frame rates. The optional OLED display, on the other hand, has 2880 × 1800 pixels, 120 Hz and perfect black levels thanks to self-illuminating pixels. Both variants are technically up-to-date and suit the device’s orientation as a business gamer notebook. The equipment is rounded off by Thunderbolt 4, several USB-C and USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort and support for up to four external monitors. Two RAM slots and two M.2 slots allow upgrades of up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM and 8 TB SSD storage.
