The Ugreen Nexode Pro 160W is now available in Germany and costs around 90 euros on Amazon. This means the 5-port charger with a smart display beats Anker’s direct competitor by a whopping 40 euros—and even throws in an extra port to boot. During the Prime Day sale, the price drops temporarily to just 66 euros.

Key features at a glance:

  • Five ports: four USB-C plus one USB-A
  • Up to 160 watts total power output, with individual ports delivering up to 140 watts (PD 3.1)
  • Built-in smart display for charging power, temperature, and emojis
  • MSRP around 90 euros, temporarily 66 euros during Prime Day
  • Cheaper than the Anker Prime 160W (129.99 euros)

Ugreen Nexode Pro 160W: Five ports, a display, and enough power for your entire setup

Sound familiar? A separate power adapter for every device, and in the end, your desk looks like a cable graveyard. That’s exactly what Ugreen aims to combat with the Nexode Pro 160W. The charger combines five ports in a single unit: four USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Two of the USB-C ports support Power Delivery 3.1 with up to 140 watts, which is more than enough for the vast majority of laptops.

The 160-watt total power output is distributed dynamically as soon as multiple devices are connected. If you’re charging two or three devices at the same time, you’ll still get up to 100 watts via a single USB-C port. If all five ports are in use, the power per port drops to around 65 watts. In practice, this means you can charge a laptop plus four other devices at the same time. As usual, this is made possible by GaN technology, which packs a lot of power into a relatively compact housing.

Smart Display as an Eye-Catcher

Like its Anker competitor, the Nexode Pro features a small smart display. It shows the current charging power, temperature, and even small emojis. A gimmick? Perhaps. But it’s certainly handy to see at a glance how many watts the connected device is currently drawing. We’re already familiar with this exact feature from similar devices, such as the Baseus Nomos 245W with an LCD display, which performed well in our test.

One downside: The Nexode Pro is quite large. That means it’s not the top choice for on-the-go use, but on your desk, this bulky unit hardly gets in the way. That’s exactly where it really shines anyway.

Cheaper than Anker: The Price Comparison

The most interesting factor is—and always will be—the price. The Anker Prime 160W Charger costs 129.99 euros and offers only three USB-C ports. Ugreen charges around 90 euros for its Nexode Pro 160W, throws in a fourth USB-C port as well as a USB-A port, and even drops the price to 66 euros during Prime Day. So if you’re not strictly tied to the Anker brand, you’ll get significantly more ports for your money here.

By the way: If you’re not quite sure what the different USB-C specifications and Power Delivery levels actually mean, you’ll find the right explanation in our USB Type-C guide.

Conclusion

With the Nexode Pro 160W, Ugreen has put together an attractive package: five ports, a nice smart display, and enough power for a laptop plus several peripheral devices. The fact that this charger is about 40 euros cheaper than the comparable Anker model—and even offers one more port—makes it one of the more exciting options on the market. The only real criticism is its size. However, if you’re looking for a permanent desktop setup rather than a travel companion, you can’t go wrong with the Nexode Pro 160W.
