Since 2021, creative minds and cycling fans have been creating e-bikes under the umbrella of Vanpowers Bikes for everyone who ticks like them. After crowdfunding in May 2022, the manufacturer now offers four e-bikes for all requirements, which we would like to introduce to you here.
Vanpowers Bikes with four e-bikes
Clean, green mobility and sustainable e-bikes are the focus of Vanpowers Bikes, which strives to offer the best possible e-bikes and helpful customer service. Customers in U.S. California can even test ride the bikes and try out two of the models.
City Vanture: high quality standards
The City Vanture e-bike from Vanpowers Bikes is made for the city. It relies on a frame that can be quickly and easily assembled – like LEGO – to quickly and easily replace all parts in case it becomes necessary.
The frame’s alignment tolerance is less than one millimeter, almost reaching the standard of racing bikes. With this, the manufacturer ensures that the frame is perfectly aligned to perform at its best at all times and provide a very quiet and balanced ride.
Normally, most one-piece frames are allowed a tolerance of 7mm, which can cause major problems in the long run while riding. But not with Vanpowers Bikes. The frame does not need to be realigned afterwards because there is no deformation.
At the same time, it avoids the problems of frames that are mechanically manufactured in mass production. Here, frames are usually treated with a heat of 500 degrees Celsius to reduce the pressure – which can make frames brittle. Vanpowers Bikes does not use this process on the City Vanture, which must pass strict quality controls.
Each frame has a unique number by which it can be identified. Still in the factory, a photo of the e-bike is taken, which accompanies the scope of delivery and proves that it has been put through its paces.
The technology in the Vanpowers Bikes City Vanture
Only high-quality components are used in the City Vanture. Among them a hydraulic brake disc from Tektro, a Gates Carbon Drive CDN belt and an all-in-one motor with sensor and controller.
The battery is invisibly installed in the down tube, while the battery for the European version provides 250 watts via the rear wheel and offers pedaling assistance up to a maximum of 25 km/h. The e-bike enables a range of 80 km to 130 km (extended battery necessary). It is designed for people with a height between 172 cm and 192 cm.
The e-bike weighs 15.5 kg and offers a total allowable weight of 120 kg. It also features an IP66-certified LC display that provides ride information details and is equipped with 700C*28C Kenda tires.
On the City Vanture, Vanpowers Bikes offers a 30-day return policy and up to a 2-year warranty on the frame.
Vanpowers Bikes Manidae: E-bike with fat tires
On the other hand, those who like to ride in rough terrain will get their money’s worth with the Manidae. It relies on 26″ x 40″ fat tires from Kenda, a thumb throttle and a particularly soft suspension from RST with a suspension travel of 95 mm.
Shifting is done with an 8-speed transmission from Shimano. By installing a compact luggage rack or buying the model with an integrated rack, the Manidae is also capable of carrying heavy loads.
The 31 kg E-MTB relies on a 750 watt motor from Bafang with 85 Nm of torque, allowing for speeds up to 45 km/h. The 650 Wh LG Cell lithium-ion battery lasts up to 113 km.
Vanpowers Bikes Commuter
The Commuter e-bike, on the other hand, is aimed at urban commuters. It should be particularly easy to use, fast and fun. This is ensured, for example, by 700C tires from Kenda, hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro and a quiet carbon belt drive from Gates.
The Commuter is a sleek urban e-bike that’s ideal for weekend cruising or commuting around town. The integrated 36V 7A battery is also protected in a tube to minimize safety risks. A luggage rack can also be mounted here.
In just 2-3 hours, the battery is fully charged and ready for a range of up to 80 kilometers. The motor provides 250 watts in the EU version and offers pedal assistance up to 25 km/h. At the same time, the 17 kg city e-bike Vanpowers Bikes Commuter is designed for a weight of up to 120 kg.
Vanpowers Bikes Seine
With the Seine e-bike, Vanpowers Bikes skillfully captures the retro charm. Here, they use a 500-watt mid-mounted Bafang motor with a cleverly placed removable lithium-ion battery.
The Seine is available in three colors and impresses with its low step-in. Of course, the manufacturer also relies here on high-quality components such as Shimano gears, a hydraulic suspension fork from Chunma or hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro. A smartphone holder for the handlebar is optionally available.
A maximum of 56 km is possible with the 500-watt mid-motor at speeds of up to 42 km/h. Again, as with all of the manufacturer’s e-bikes, there is a 30-day return policy and up to a 2-year warranty.
