Vattenfall x Tchibo: Would you like some more e-car charging with your coffee?

Vattenfall and Tchibo are teaming up to launch a wallbox for electric cars along with a green electricity tariff. For a one-time fee of just 99 euros, the wallbox comes to your home, but electricity charges are of course still added.

Vattenfall and Tchibo offer wallbox electricity tariff

Vattenfall and Tchibo will in future enable owners of electric cars to supply their vehicles with new juice from the comfort of their own homes. For this purpose, they offer a wallbox for purchase, which is offered in combination with the green electricity tariff “Natur24 Strom Wallbox”. Together, one wants to offer “green electricity at the best price”.

Which wallbox offer Vattenfall and Tchibo? Included in the tariff is the Charge Amps Halo wallbox, for which you pay only 99 euros once. The manufacturer’s RRP is 1,189 euros – so the savings are more than respectable.

The Halo thereby marks the most compact charging station of the manufacturer and is not least thanks to the highest IP protection class on the market (IP66), a thoughtful and compact design and an additional Schuko socket the current top seller of Charge Amps.

It is made of recycled aluminum and features a 7.5-meter, hard-wired Type 2 cable. At the same time, the Charge Amps Halo works reliably in temperatures ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius and communicates via WLAN or LAN.

With dimensions of 262.4 mm × 159.4 mm × 203.2 mm, it also turns out to be quite compact and weighs only 4 kilograms. The wallbox offered by Vattenfall and Tchibo also has a charging capacity of 11kW. This means that a 40 kWh battery can be fully recharged in just 5.5 hours.

Conveniently, an LED light informs you of the charging status, while you can access the controls or get an overview via app. A detailed web interface is also provided.

Favorable price in combination with Vattenfall tariff

But you get the preferential price for the wallbox only with the simultaneous conclusion of the green electricity tariff “Natur24 Strom Wallbox” from Vattenfall. And that with a minimum contract period including price guarantee of 24 months. The electricity tariff consists of 100 percent green electricity and is TÜV Nord certified.

An exact calculation of the actual price is possible via the homepage of Vattenfall. Here you can, after entering your zip code, the size of your household and the annual electricity demand of your e-car, determine the annual consumption.

As a result, you get a detailed breakdown of the monthly base price and the average consumption price per kWh and see what the electricity tariff for the wallbox costs you per year.

You also have the option of ordering a free Vattenfall charging app and card, which allows you to charge at over 90,000 charging points across Europe at a fixed price. All details about the wallbox tariff from Vattenfall and Tchibo can also be found on the overview page.
