Manufacturer Verge Motorcycles has unveiled a powerful new electric motorcycle at CES 2023. The Verge TS Ultra is exceptional through and through, combining powerful acceleration with compelling engine performance, as well as a range of up to 375 kilometers.
Verge TS Ultra in detail
With the Verge TS Ultra, the company from Finland has introduced an exciting new electric motorcycle. As with previous models, the new Verge TS Ultra was designed and engineered with electric propulsion in mind from the start.
While the Verge TS and Verge TS Pro offered innovation with the integration of the rim motor into the rear wheel, the Ultra steps it up a notch with a range of 375 kilometers. Much more, the battery is fully charged again in just 25 minutes. By integrating the motor into the rear wheel, more space is created in the middle of the bike for the battery.
“The hubless design also allowed us to remove all moving parts such as chains and gears, resulting in a beautiful, sleek design,” the manufacturer says.
With an output of 201 horsepower, the bike accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The torque is an incredible 1,200 Newton meters, maximum speeds of up to 200 km/h should be possible.
The motorcycle’s center of gravity is also lower, providing a better riding experience compared to conventional electric motorcycles. “We are proud to start the new year with a model that goes far beyond what high-performance electric motorcycles are capable of today,” says Tuomo Lehtimäki, CEO of Verge Motorcycles.
Starting in Europe, later in the US
The Verge TS Ultra and the other models offer a total of four riding modes: Range for maximum range, Zen for a more relaxed ride, Beast for maximum power and Custom, which you can configure yourself.
Verge Motorcycles will initially offer the Verge TS Ultra in select European countries, including Germany. Later, they plan to launch “in select U.S. states during 2023” as well.
“The company is also expanding rapidly in Europe and worldwide as demand for high-performance motorcycles continues to grow,” the manufacturer added. However, the manufacturer’s motorcycles are not a bargain.
