ViewSonic Elite XG251G: Gaming monitor with 360 Hz, Nvidia Reflex and G-Sync presented

Manufacturer ViewSonic expands its range of gaming monitors with an arrow-fast new model. The new ViewSonic Elite XG251G relies on SuperClear IPS panels with a whopping 360Hz frame rate, while supporting Nvidia Reflex and G-Sync.

The 25-inch ViewSonic Elite XG251G gaming monitor is aimed at ambitious gamers and esports enthusiasts with its ultra-high refresh rate of 360 Hz. The monitor is equipped with a SuperClear IPS panel that displays 16.7 million colors and covers 99% of the sRGB color space. The XG251G can also convince with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a high brightness of 400 cd/m2.

The picture is realized in a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, while VESA HDR 400 and Nvidia G-Sync are also supported. The gray-to-grey response time is also a convincing 1 ms.

In addition, system latency is reduced on the ViewSonics XG251G thanks to Nvidia Reflex. The Nvidia Reflex low-latency mode thus improves accuracy and responsiveness when peripherals like a mouse and keyboard are connected directly to the monitor.

Ports and ergonomics

However, the ViewSonic Elite XG251G also has a lot to offer in terms of ports. In addition to two HDMI 2.0 ports, there is once DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5 mm jack, and a powerful USB 3.2 hub with four ports (3x USB-A, 1x USB-B). Two integrated 2 watt speakers including stereo sound round off the features.

The XG251G is also equipped with intelligent ELITE’S Design Enhancements (EDE). These include RGB lighting, cable management in the stand, mouse anchor and headphone holder.

In terms of ergonomics, the display can be tilted -5 to + 20 degrees, rotated 60 degrees as well as rotated around its own axis into portrait mode (pivot function). The height of the Elite XG251G can be adjusted by up to 120 millimeters. Low-blue-light certification from TÜV Rheinland also ensures minimal eye fatigue.

Price and Availability

The ViewSonic Elite XG251G gaming monitor is expected to be available in stores before the end of January 2022. The manufacturer’s RRP is 899.00 euros.
